As a fan of Brucie, it is a shame he's unable to present tonight but Tess & Claudia together are just so great! Such a positive vibe on the show and it flows much more nicely

Surely I'm not alone in thinking this?

Sir Bruce is still the main man that the public love

Not all the public TerryM22! I used to like him but it is time for him to go. I really enjoy watching Ted's and Claudia present the main show

Please understand Terry that tonight's show demonstrates a lighter touch with a most pleasing rhythm and an absence of any one persons ego getting in the way

Perfectly put. It was about the dance not pandering to Bruce's ego

I don't know about perfect BUT it's so refreshing not to be cringing every time the main presenter appears.

Really enjoyed watching the show live tonight - which i don't do because Bruce is so cringeworthy. I thought Tess and Claudia did a great job and presumably would cost less.

I enjoyed this show far more than any which included Bruce.
The seamless running of this show with the word-perfect contributions of the two hosts, is in stark contrast to those where the irascible octogenarian with his frequent fluffs and silly pointless jokes tries to make it more about him than about ballroom dancing.
Don't hurry back Bruce, the show's better without you.
My only criticism was that there weren't enough recognisable ballroom tunes included, but that's just the BBC trying to attract younger people who would usually watch X-Factor.

I LOVE Claudia. Miss her so much on ITT

Not bothered about Tess though.

I'd be quite happy to lose Tess as well as Bruce. Claudia is perfect for the after-dance bit - much more natural than Tess, who is often cringeworthy.

I really enjoyed tonight's show. Moved along very nicely.

I missed Bruce. Claudia is great but while Tess might get all the words out, there's so much sparkle lacking. Not so bad in the marathon early shows were there's so much to get through but in a few weeks that blandness will get annoying.

It's so SO much nicer watching the show without Bruce the bore. Not keen on Tess either but I love Claudia's refeshing sense of humour and cheekiness.

Tess and Claudia did well but Brucie's my favourite.

Sorry to go against the flow, but it's Tess that makes me cringe! I would much prefer Bruce presenting on his own instead of Tess. Love Claudia though

I prefer the Tess & Claudia show

It's just refreshing to have a female presenter who has a bit of spark, wit and intelligence - as opposed to being a bland clothes horse.

First time I have watched the show live in ages, they are not perfect but far better than when Brucie is there, it flowed nicely the judges all got to comment on all the dances which doesn't often happen when Brucies ego takes control of the show. Claud as always funny in the Tess pit

Tess seems happier as the main presenter and is actually much better in this role than as Brucie's number two.

I've liked them before as a presenting couple and I really enjoyed them tonight. Tess was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. Claudia was witty as ever.

Well done on a good show, much zippier, went from opening up to first dance without the usual claptrap and crud from Bruce, hope he's better soon but today's show was so much slicker than the norm, good stuff.

I do like Bruce and did miss him - a bit - but on the whole I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Claudia is just brilliant in the Tess Pit and Tess is much better suited to the presenter role. Perhaps they could find a way for Tess and Bruce to share it when he inevitably comes back? Anyway very enjoyable evening.

I have a lot of respect for Bruce, but goodness, I wasn't expecting that! Tess and Claudia share a great rapport and were funny and slick and the whole thing was fast paced, fun and thoroughly entertaining.
