I don't have an issue with men crying.

My issue is WHAT they are crying about.

A damn SINGING contest...with NO guarantee of fame if they win. Most fade into obscurity anyway as we know.

There are many more tear-worthy things going on in this world right now to cry about. Horrible suffering and tragedy. Children DYING of cancer in St. Jude's Hospital here in the US have a stiffer upper lip than the Boys/Men on the X-Factor.

Love the show, but the "I'll die if I have to go back to my regular life" crap is RIDICULOUS.

BIB you have said exactly what I wanted to say. It is stupid for these young men to believe that their life is over because of no guarantees. Absurd that they c\an't see that their are possibilities beyond being famous, and they should certainly be aware of the pitfalls.

I'll say one thing that sets them up for disappointment...when they're told by a judge for example..."I think your days of cleaning houses/tending bar/digging ditches are over!".

Floodgates open.

The gender stereotyping in this thread is saddening

I wish I'd called the thread "what the hell is wrong with the judges". The show is designed to make contestants cry, and viewers are expected to join in out of sympathy. It makes me quite angry.

I just think that the producers teach them how to cut onions during JH.

The Xfactor always seem to choose a large number of wimpy cry babies when it comes to the boys category.
