.....forget the fact that he has the only voice worth listening to in the whole of the show, but because he wasn't some cute baby face he wasn't picked.

What a crock.

Hard to argue with that.

I agree too - looks are the only important thing apparently. Forget the uniqueness and soulfulness of the voice.

Put Paul's voice inside Gile's body and he'd have got through. Surprise surprise the fat guys didn't get through.

When I listen to music I want to hear a damn good voice, something different, not some green kid who sounds like every other green kid.
We aren't all teen girls who want to scream over some young lad, some of us want to hear a nice voice.

So much for it being a singing competition. Its a young kids looks and fashion show.

Can't believe he didn't get through. What an amazing voice. He should have been put through instead of Sam.

Thats about it. Next year they need to weigh everybody, and send anyone over 9 stone home, they will just be wasting their time - unless they're in Sharon's category that is.

There was clearly an agenda this year - put people through only if they look the part, regardless of singing ability.

The moment Paul was dropped, that agenda became blatantly apparent.

Everyone agreeing on DS shocker!!!

He could have won the show, but as usual it is about pretty boys who the little girls will vote for. In fairness it worked with ID, and Cowell pulls the strings, but it is a travesty that arguably the best voice was sent home because he wasn't pretty enough.

I am amazed.
Paul's audition made me cry & I watched it several times on YouTube.
At Wembley he brought the house down with possibly the longest standing ovation ever from the crowd & the judges.
He is fantastic. I'm gutted.

Gutted for him, the show is a load of old tosh. If you don't resemble a boy band member, you've no chance

They clearly didn't apply that policy to the "Overs" category, did they....?

I agree, though, that dropping Paul is one of the most ludicrous X Factor decisions for a while.

Who the heck is Nicole Appleton? And what an awful 'thing' Sinitta was wearing - what on earth was that?

....he could have won.. From purely a producers standpoint they should have put him in as he would have grown more confident and comfortable in his own skin. Missed a trick. He could have won on his singing ability alone
