Netflix on LG 47W650T-please help me :(
Hi everyone,
I have the above 3D cinema smart tv. It has lots of apps in the smart menu but i can download netflix I phoned LG up and they said when my tv was being made it was when netflix was coming out in the UK so netflix is compatible with my tv is this true????? I tried going onto my tv and clicking the internet button and http/netflix (as you would a computer) which took me to the netflix site but wouldnt let me watch a film because the tv doesnt obviously have windows or anything. I dont have a pc or laptop or bluray/smart player so cant watch netflix on anything else other than my iphone and android tab. Surely mu tv should be able to get netflix! There must be a way round this without me having to by a external bluray player or roku!!! Not happy, sad

This TV was released before Netflix launched in the UK so it's unlikely it's compatible. (Looking online I think it may even be nearly a year before)
If the TVs not compatible then it's not compatible, you'll have to use another device view on your screen. |

Not sure going via the Internet Browser to the Netflix site would work.
Don't LGs have an app section where it can be installed? And do check for the latest firmware for your TV. Not that LG are clear on what exactly has been updated with each release... unless things have changed since I last looked? |

Completely sucks they dont update just like normal apps! Ive seen lots of info about changing settings etc..
Does anyone know anything about that? Netflix changed what they use for DRM for the UK launch which some devices were not powerful enough to handle it. I was in a similar situation with my Sony BDS370 which did have Netflix in the US, but not available to UK users due to not being powerful enough to run the newer DRM. |

It's quite possible it may not be available for a reason.

I guess i was just hoping someone was going to tell me i could download something or change settings. But hey ho. |
