What reason did the BBC have to release it a full month before they originally intended to? Could it be that episode 4 is among many missing episodes found and they want to announce it sooner rather than later because people have found out?

The official line is the tenth planet DVD has been brought forward to replace the moonbase DVD which has now been put back to January. The real reason of course is that the enemy of the world DVD is now coming out in November.

Probably so complete S7 could have the centre of attention.

No.

Until then, this is all frantic speculation. It would be lovely if it was true, I would over the moon, but as far as I can see, anyone who might actually know the truth about all this - the BBC, the Restoration Team etc etc - have all denied any episodes have been found. There is absolutely no conspiracy reason for them to deny this - so occam's razor dictates that this denial is the simplest explanation and by far the most likely to be true.

With only a month to go and no anouncement no bbfc clearances no Promotion for it and retailers havent been notified the odds of enemy coming out in November are next to Nil.
