Tablet/ereader in the sunshine?
Inkblot

I took my iPad 3, loaded with some books, on holiday - and found I couldn't use it in the sunshine. Not just because of the reflection, but because my polarised sunglasses filtered out the images on the screen. Still confused why that happened - if I put the glasses on, the screen went blank!

Anyway, are there any tablet/ereaders that work in sunshine and with sunglasses, or is it necessary to drop down to a non-tablet ereader in the summer?

Tablets are generally poor in bright sunlight. Any eink device will perform perfectly well outdoors in bright sunlight.

Yes the best way is an e-ink reader like the original Kindle. They are perfect for reading books in the sun.
