For every tear, £10 falls into a producer's pocket.

Oh, I so agree. It is getting on my nerves, and really spoiling the shows. I think that once they start crying they should be sent home. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The cry factor. Its just constant. They cry pre performance, during performance, after, when they get through, when they dont. And if they dont the judges cry.

Pls stop

I think the producers must put onions under their eyes before the start of their performances.

Just wait until the sob stories start on the live shows.

The amount of tears shed could turn a drought into a monsoon.

I've never watched a show where there has been so much crying.

It should be renamed The Tear Factor.

Just said the same to the wife. I just pause it now for ten minutes and wind through it. It's like someone pulling there nails down a blackboard .

It's really noticeable. They didn't do this years ago so why this year? Have human beings become markedly more fragile or is there some manipulation by producers going on? Making them watch ET beforehand?

I stopped watching for this reason, only come on these threads to see if anything has changed, it sounds to me like the only thing that changes are the contestants

Last night's episode was pathetic, even by XF's standards.

I've never seen so many tears in my life.

I swear Heather, in particular, cried through the whole show.

What are the producers doing?

I don't need any of it - the constant blubbing, the 'I'm doing it for my dead hamster' sob stories - and worst of all the 'I want this so much', 'I don't want to go back to my old life'... Etc etc...
Yes we get that you would rather have a glizy life rather than struggling to earn a crust like a common mortal. Now can we just move on and have a talent competition please?

It was pathetic and spoils the show. There is absolutely no need for it and if people can't control their emotions in public then they are not suited to be performers.

What would happen if all our newsreaders burst into tears every time they had to read out a tragic news item? What would happen if doctors and nurses spent their work time bawling their eyes out?

Sounds like the producers are paying attention to the complaints about all the crying!
