''This is my last chance''

There is lots about X Factor that annoys me but contestants saying This is my last chance' really is the most annoying, we know it isn't your last chance especially as for some its there 2nd or 3rd attempt so STOP SAYING IT!!! And for ones who are there for the first time then you can come back again and again.

Maybe their is a limit to how often you can audition

They all say it without fail, along with it means everything to them.

Was watching USA XF the other day & Kelly Rowland said how it took her six years to get a recording deal then another two years before she had an album out. Problem is many of these XF contestants think they can have it all straight away. life isn't that easy and it shouldn't be!

Especially when theyre 17ish.
All this 'waited all my life' when you just stoped using a diaper is annoying.

Santa on xfus said it the best 'no you havent, I have'

I have to laugh when I hear people in their late teens & early 20s saying they've given up everything to be here!

What on Earth could you have given up at such a young age that you can't return to & get on with your life?

Nail on head. That is certainly their problem. I think they must be just lazy wannabees when they start with all the 'this is my last chance' and how their life will fall apart if they don't get chosen etc etc. A true artist is willing to suffer for his art, not just give up because they didn't get chosen for X Factor. In fact many fantastic singers wouldn't even go down that route in case it tarnishes them as a musician. They're not in it for instant fame and are true artists .

Kelly Rowland was 16 when Destiny's Child first got their record deal so it is hardly the same as someone in their 20s. Anyway, I don't think it is correct to imply that these people just woke up on the day of the auditions and decided that they quite fancied being a pop star. Many will have been trying for at least six years.

Honestly... There are certain cliche's that most contestants come out with and I'm pretty sure it's coached by the producers. It's a TV show, they will be guided on roughly what to say.

I agree but it's like they're taking the piss now. The cliches are out of control

What they're sayin is if they don't win x factor they've not got the brains or the talent to do shit all else. . So they'll have to do what the other 70 million of us do. . Make do. Poor them

On a slightly different note, I was amused when Shelley (or it might have been Sam) said that hearing she was through to the live shows was the happiest moment of her life. What about when she became a mother?
