Ah, you mean Hannah. Not keen on her. It all seems a bit false when she sings. She's clever in that she knows what the judges want to see - emotion and soul - but it was very obviously overdone this episode. Seemed like she was playing a character rather than connecting with the song.
And when a child sings about wanting things to change, or how much of a struggle they've gone through it always seems a bit fake to me. Live a life and then sing about that stuff, it'll actually really mean something then.
And no, I'm not saying young people don't sometimes have pretty crappy lives (I'm sure she's probably had it tough), but the impact of a soul singer singing about struggle after a lifetime of crap is where the real powerful stuff is.
