Tamera the only current act but will she get the votes
We have seen it so often in recent years.
She looks polished ready made older than her years. Everything and more that the public won't vote for |

She seems unlikeable. You also get the feeling that she's a bit of diva.
The first bad vocal from her and she'll be voted out. |

I don't know what you mean by current but I will say I find her unlikeable and even thought she had good tuning and good phrasing today the timbre / sound of her voice is unexceptional and at times verging on unpleasant. She sounds like she's straining.

Tamera's a ready made star that has everything.
Surprised Nicole played with her like that, not sure what that was about. Maybe Nicole sees her as a potential drama queen and thought she'd try to get her down to earth a little? Or maybe the producers requested it for TV, which would be a really low thing to do. Whatever it was, it would have been a travesty if it was anything other than a yes. Glad she's through. I think win or lose, she'll be a star...unless she turns out to be a real witch behind the scenes in which case she'll be torn apart by the papers regardless of her age. |

I love soulful/RnB music but to me she's trying too hard, over-singing. Just not doing it for me

I think she will do well and definitely looks like a star. I just worry the newspapers will get onto her.

Depends if she can stay of the drugs long enough to perform.

She will get the votes, she has the right image (looks wise) she will get massively pimped by the show - all that drama around Nicole choosing her is just the beginning. Personally didnt think much of her performance, would have preferred Reiley to go through.

OP - can I ask what you mean by 'current'? No offence to you, personally, but that has become one of the most over-used X-Factor associated memes and it drives me nuts.
If anything, a good musical act wouldn't be 'current' at all; it would be fresh and new and different. Tamera's just another belter with a pretty face. I'd even go so far as saying she's somewhat dated. The hair, make-up/image is all a bit noughties, no? None of them interest me this year - yet. I quite liked the band that were sent home with the three guys/one girl. Abi's like a Lidl verson of Janet; Hannah's going to have a mixture of conjunctivitis and laryngitis every week at the rate she's going; the girl band are predictable and uninteresting; the boyband need to buy some longer trousers; the visa-challenged ones might be all right; the overs are like the last half hour at my local Karaoke bar; the boys are like the last half hour at my local playschool. So no, Tamera's not 'current'. |

I just can't warm to her or want to root for her, I don't find her likeable at all
![]() I thought her Judges' Houses performance was disappointing as I'd seen it hyped up as "the best JH performance ever, globally" or WTTE. Although I didn't think much of her arena performance either, so perhaps its just me. |

She's the standout star but it also gives her a high bar of expectation to clear. Contestants improving from a low base often build more momentum. Little mix were a classic example.

She looks like a popstar, that's all. If she looked like Jade, she'd be long gone and no one would have batted an eyelid.

I thought Kingsland Road, Sam C and Abi Alton would be the most 'current' in terms of music. I personally think Tamera is outdated; she's got a voice but she's not an artist.

They are all current. All of them were chosen this year.

"current act"
Current to what? Currently actually remembering a whole song but for how long? Just what is this silly hype about a very average singer when she is actually singing in tune and remembers the words. - This OTT hype will be the death of her and her fans can then be rightly blamed for making everyone else truly sick to death of her before the show even starts. |
