Just love his warm manner with the contestants.

Yep, agree. I've loved him as a presenter since BBLB. He's just good at his job.

Alas you'll get the Dermott haters along soon He comes across as a genuinely decent chap & deserves to do well in his career..

I was thinking he must have had to pack a few spare white teeshirts, with all the runny mascara on his shoulder.

I think he looks great in his T Shirts, but even better in those Polo Shirts.

I've had a soft spot for Dermot, ever since he appeared on Big Brother as a presenter..

When he was doing the one show and Russell Brand, the other, Big Brother was at its peak..

He seems to be a lovely guy, completely unfazed, like Ben Cohen that some gay guys fancy him..

I think he does a pretty good job throughout the whole X-Factor shebang..
I just wish they'd cut out that dreadful dancing bit that he does at the beginning of shows.

Rich.

He is friendly but... I dunno, does no one else find him sort of irrelevant this year?

This should be Dermot's standard "Judge's House Attire"

I read he cancelled his flight back because some of the contestants were in tears , so he stayed with them.....hope he has many more X factor years to give out hugs

Aww, that's adorable. If only more men were like him instead of being a-holes.

I have a lot of love for Dermot - I think he's awesome! As much as I enjoy the xtra factor show, I hope caroline doesn't do too much in the live shows. I think Dermot does a great job and I don't want him to get less screen time

He's so handsome...and dashing.

It's tragic he's underrated. He deserves to get the annual award for hosting rather than Ant and Dec. He's so warm and friendly, and he cracks great jokes too. Such a lovely man. <3

heheh What I love about Dermot is how he manages to be able to be sympathetic, or celebrate with them, in more of a proud father way, with just the right amount of hugs, whether it be commiserations, or well done!!

After all these years he's as much part of the furniture as Louis

I think he does a great job, though I did like Kate too
