Agreed, but even with a limited vocal range there are singers out there who can sing in a variety of styles..
I think, a lot of today's contestants think that vocal acrobatics and fireworks are what it's all about and in the end that's what you get..
But, if the songs, whatever the genre being explored, are carefully chosen, it's perfectly possible for a person with a limited vocal range to sing almost any style..
Apart from ABBA,.
I hope they
never do another ABBA night, as it usually amounts to the sort of horrors you're likely to hear on any karaoke night, or by any group of people who
think they're an ABBA "tribute," act, when what it actually amounts to, with very few exceptions is utter sacrilege worthy of eternal damnation...
