I subscribe to The Telegraph via iTunes. Automatic downloads don't seem to be working, it stopped a few days ago (it did initially work after iOS7).

I've tried cycling automatic downloads off and on, deleting and reinstalling the app, and rebooting my iPad (3rd gen).

Anyone else having a similar issue? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I've got a vague recollection the app was updated recently, which may be part of the problem.

Anyway, I've been a subscriber for several months and found the Telegraph app to be frustrating. Until recently it never downloaded automatically, and sometimes it took several tries to get the latest edition to download at all. Then I discovered that trying to use the app without an internet connection caused the app to crash - it was impossible to read the Telegraph offline.

Finally with iOS7 the hesitant downloading and offline issues disappeared and it started downloading automatically - until it stopped again. But I've no idea why.

The internet connection issue was driving me crazy! My job involves me to be away from any sort of internet/mobile connection for most of the day, and I almost considered ending my subscription because of it. I found a semi work around that worked, sometimes. I'd create a wifi hotspot on my phone (even though there was no signal) and connect my ipad to it, that seemed to work sometimes and allow the app to launch.

Also, is it just me or do the pages now dim and rebrighten as they load? Never seen that happen before.
