There's got to be a few weeks in her at least, but that embarrasing auntie / milf schtick is going to wear thin in the end.

Will she make it to the a live tour spot (6th place) or will we be waving bye-bye before that?

I reckon she might surprise, if only because she's got good timing and can sing in tune and if any of the others are lacking then she'll get votes and they won't.

She'll be in danger whenever she's in a sing off though, because apart from Sharon, none of the judges will want her around.

I'd say 1 week. lots of ooooo look at me nerves, even though she isnt nervous, plus lots of 'bubbly' personality etc etc. I see lots of cheesy power ballads ahead while singing out the side of her mouth club singer stylie

But the comedy acts always do a bit better than that.

She's this years wagner or Chico. She's John Sergeant or Anne Widdecombe.

I'm pretty certain she's going to do better than week 1. Someone on week 1 will succumb to nerves and have a mare, but it won't be her.

I think she'll still be around until week 4 or 5. Maybe even longer.

I actually don't find her funny at all - really irritating.
Anne Widdecombe and John Sargent are LEGENDS!!

Shelley and Sam the prison warder have very similar voices, but I prefer Shelley's personality. I hope she lasts the longest of the two.

I think she's in serious danger of being the first or second out. Her voice isn't that great, she pales in comparison to the other two women in her category and I think her personality, while endearing to some, will put a lot of other people off voting for her.

She might scrape past one or two people, but she'd be very to luck to still be around by the time the clocks go back.

That's what they said about Chico and Wagner.

I think Sharon may have played a blinder picking her. She won't win but she'll get rid of some of the opposition. Remember how middle of the road X-Factor voters are. These are people that selected Joe McEldery and Leon Jackson as winners. To them Shelley is going to be a wild woman. I can't wait to see some of the scalps that fall before her.

Well that's about the weirdest reason I've ever heard for not voting for someone in a singing competition - but each to their own. I once split up with someone because I didn't like the buttons on his jumper.

I don't think that she has really been portrayed as the joke act, which will definitely go against her. I think it's definitely a route she could go down, but based on everything so far, I think she's been put through as a legit act, and I just can't see her getting votes for long like that!

She will last until her career as a Peter Kay/Matt Lucas tribute act really kicks in.

She's fun. How many of them can you say that about? Who's going to make you want to "raise your hands in the air and party like you just don't care" except Shelley?

Hannah? Jeebus no!!!!

Tamera? Talk about taking herself too seriously....

Abi? You might get a giggle out of a whimsical love song but you wouldn't want her at a party.

The groups? - Maybe Kingsland Road if they can master the kind of thing Take That did with a couple of their songs, but that style is a bit dated so I'm doubting it.

The boys - HELL NO!!!!

The other overs - Sam and Lorna take themselves far to seriously.

Shelley offers something none of the others do. A good, old-fashioned party.

She should play up the comedic, drag queen angle and she'll probably go deep in the show

She will last a while as there are worse than her and it may kick in that for her to win may be the final nail in the coffin of the X Factor

I'd say week 7 she's the act that viewers want out but people keep voting for her .

She has the same kind of appeal as Sam in that their both Overs with 'big voices' except Sam does it a lot better. I think Shelley's going home early.

If they don't stitch her up with cheesy karaoke/cruise ship classics and midi drum containing tracks, and give her voice a decent backdrop to showcase her talent instead, she may well be around for at least a few weeks.

I agree, she is fun, and she actually does have a better voice than some of the others, in spite of having a few prominent amateur traits and habits .If they choose to work with her to minimize and adapt those traits and habits, she might surprise everyone, including herself, with a really good performance.

I think she'll be the last remaining act of Sharon's overs... I don't think she'll get past halfway point though.

I thought about 3 weeks in, no doubt she'll sing something like River deep mountain high whilst she gyrates her body. *shudders*.
