My message thread seems to have disappeared.

Can anyone tell me (moderator?) if you are notified in any way when your message is deleted and why.

Hmm, only thing I can suggest is that you contact a moderator directly maybe?

(Also re-read the rules and see if you unintentionally might have broken any?)

I suspect from a PC point of view I could be accused of breaking a rule but a bit puzzled that a message thread just disappear without any notification.

^ Should be a link near the bottom of the forum which when clicked shows a list of moderators. And unfortunately moderators aren't obliged to give any notifications about deleted threads. Probably because they simply don't have the time to debate that kinda of thing with members. I'm honestly not sure.

Have a look at the email account you used to log in.

As you were complaining about men holding their crutches it was deemed offensive to the disabled so removed.
Why can't they hold them? How are they going to get around otherwise?

Agree, cannot expect moderators to get into any debate but surprised not even a standard automatic email.

Maybe they don't engage members on these kinds of issues?

Only thing that is there is forum support queries but I'd imagine that's more for technical issues.
