Not a hope.

If they did wildcard, it'd definitely be either Melanie or Joseph. Paul and Brick City would probably be the other 2 nominations.

I don't think they'll do one though.

I think having another wildcard this year would be very predictable, not a "twist" at all.

I think if they were doing a wild card, I'm sure they would have announced it last night.

They did last year, iirc, so the wildcard winner was able to perform on the first live show along with the others.

So I'm hoping that means no wildcard this year.

I don't think they announced the 2010 wildcard twist until the first live show when it then showed the judges visiting the homes of their wildcard and breaking the news.

I could be wrong though - maybe they did mention it at judges houses that year as, like you say, they have every other time

The difference between this year and 2010, is that the public voted last year, so needed to know in advance.

Meaning if they were to announce a wildcard on Saturday, we'd be seeing 4 other singers rather than 1. Not totally implausible considering the popularity of Joseph, Melanie and Paul.

Melanie is 100% done with X Factor so she isn't being lined up as a wildcard

Correct (was it 2010 though? it was definitely one year). They announced it on the first live show, however it leaked into the press the week before.

I think each year they have done wildcards it's been slightly different.

I'm getting the feeling there won't be one this year, there could be but it's not looking like it as normally something leaks, but there is time yet.

And I agree with Makson, Melanie is not it if there is, she has made clear that she is done, to the extent I think she would probably turn them down, she seems "over it" if that makes sense.

However with Saturdays show being scheduled from 20:00 - 22:15 and the last 15 minutes being taken up by the flash vote, I don't think 2 hours would be enough time to have 16 performances when you factor in the VTs and advert breaks too.

That's why I don't think there will be a wildcard this year.

Yup Louis even supported her choice to never come back.

I'm sure she would do it if she got a wildcard , but as for going back and doing all that audition nonsense again , she has had enough of that and she is not going to waste her time

I think she'd change her mind if offered a place on the live shows.

I remember Amelia Lily having digs at the X Factor after she got voted off by Kelly. Soon changed her tune when Frankie got the boot.

They normally fit in 2 in between every ad break. It would be pushing it, but it's possible:

FIRST HOUR
First quarter: 2 acts
Second quarter: 2 acts
Third quarter: 2 acts
Fourth quarter: 2 acts

SECOND HOUR
First quarter: 2 acts
Second quarter: 2 acts
Third quarter: 2 acts
Fourth quarter: 2 acts

And that's 16 acts, then the flash vote after that - as I said it would be pushing it, but they do normally show 2 acts in between every ad break so that is possible

They would be stupid not to have a Wildcard as the show REALLY NEEDS a decent act. Losing Paul was a terrible terrible terrible decision

The Deffo need something to grab the public's attention about the first Live show and a wild card reveal would do that for sure

The live final lineup appears to be lacking something another contestant could liven thing's up a little.

The final 12 are a tad boring to be honest - the only act I think can make it are rough copy, they look, sound and perform like stars.IMO.

Sidebar:I think the guy with the studs in his mouth looks like Wesley snipes.
