ITV poll brings good news to Nicole and bad news to Sharon Osbourne

Looks as though Sharon is destine not to win again this year and Nicole could make it two on the spin according to this ITV Poll.

They haven't even sung on the live show yet, which always shakes things up

Rhydian and Niki from Rank Outsiders to favourites in the space of an evening

I think Sam Bailey is going to be hanging around for a while and it only takes 1 act to win.
That poll is so close that it's fairly insignificant now, when 16% is the highest then you know it's pretty much up for grabs.

Imo, the girls are the strongest this year, then would be the over's, then the groups, the boys are the weakest, but of course they will go far in the comp as they have the teenie girls behind them.

Actually think the Groups are stronger than the overs IMO and more marketable .

Nicole picked well this year (and no joke acts either)....the judge to beat methinks. ...kinda hope that its not with Hannah though....she doesnt need to be in SC's pocket tbh....he would ruin her!!!!

Way too early. Last year at this stage everyone was raging about Ella. Eventually she just bored people to sleep.

Ella was good though. It's Tulisa's fault. Ella was breathtaking.

Sharon's own fault for putting the wrong people through Sam is the only right decision imo.
Joseph and Zoe should've been picked then maybe she'd have a chance.
Does she really honestly think she can win with Shelley?
Lorna has to compete with the other girls. Zoe's voice was different and stood out.
Nicole and Gary have the winning categories.

Nicole did a Dannii Minogue and Simon Cowell last year, with having two contestants in the final two. I now wonder if she could do a Cheryl Cole this year, getting two winners in a row. I think she could.

I feel bad for Sharon though. Wasn't she going to have the winner this year?

I don't think it really matters anymore, who wins anyway. I think you can still be successful if you don't.

It is still too early though to pick a winner. We haven't seen the contestants sing yet.

Gary? The groups aren't very good tbh. I also don't think Gary will pick good songs for them.

Agree totally with some of the posts here. Its way too early for this kind of thing. Polls, betting etc.... no-one has got the first idea as to what will transpire.

I never rated her, I was glad when she was voted off.

I would love to see Hannah reach the final, but not to win, as SYCO would really ruin her in every way.

I think the boys are quite weak this year - is that why they gave them to Louis

Nicholas could do well because of the cute factor.

I'm glad there are no obvious 'joke' acts this year anyway

Though it would have been interesting to see Souly Roots

Until they sing live you have no idea how they will do. After that they settle in for a few weeks, then we begin to get bored of acts that are the same every week.

I predict the girls will not do as well as some imagine and the overs will do better. Sam and Shelly can really knock it to the back of the stalls while Abi cannot, for example. Also, the press will crucify at least one of them for their past and another will turn out to be 'horrible' or a 'diva' and get the full press treatment.

You just cannot say at this stage.

My prediction is - girls dont win....none of them make me excited.

2 of the boys and one group could be the ones to pull it off.

I'd disagree, but the Girls category has a history of underachieving.

I think you are in for a surprise. The winner will be female this year, most likely Abi or Sam.

At the same time who thought at this point in 2006 and 2008 that Leona and Alex would go on to win?

At the same time who also thought at this point that Rebecca Ferguson would go on to achieve global recognition and commendation by critics?
