Maybe Louie didn't pick paul due to his weight?
I think he thought he wouldn't get votes cause he's not young or something . In a interview he said something like "I put through who I was told would get the most votes" .
Such a shame, lots of people voted for Craig Colton, I and plenty others would have voted for him!!!

But he added today in the same radio interview that he is beginning to have second thoughts and wondering if he made the wrong decision.
I don't think I'd vote for any of the boys, but I might've done if Paul got through. I loved his voice.

Both of them, but Paul especially were better, IMO, than the pretty boy and the gonk boy..
Louis Walsh isn't interested in who the best singer is.
It's unlikely, but I hope Paul gets through as a Wild Card..and gets voted in week by week and make Walsh more of a laughing stock than he already is.

Craig Colton was rather lardy, and he made it to the lives.
Paul had a great voice but lacked marketability, and wasn't particularly current or a pop act, which is what they are looking for.

That may be true, but some of us would like something different.
Maybe teenage girls are happy to see pretty faces with soft romantic voices, but for those of us whose hormones have settled down, we'd prefer to see someone with actual talent.

Not only teenage girls like such acts, my mum voted for one direction for instance, I'm 23 and I love giles
The fact is also those sort of acts do well off the show thus retaining what little credibility it has left. One direction are the new token successful act over Leona now so it stands to reason they are focusing on teen acts.
Acts like Paul flop off the show which makes it look bad.

I find fat blokes sexy, love a bit of lard but they arnt pop act material.
