No worries - I thought Matt was a much better dancer than Scott and Pamela myself - one of the best male celebs to ever appear on Strictly, but I guess it would be boring if we all rate the the same celebs.

It's just they couldn't have made it clearer they want a female winner this year if they tried - it's the most imbalanced line up I've seen since watching from series 4. I don't have anything against a female winner, well as long as it's a winner I like it's just better for me when there's healthy competition from the males. I'd feel the same way if they'd skewered the line up in favour of the males.

On the other hand I love Marks attempt to dance, really like watching Deborah and Fiona and really hoping Ashley and Rachel improve!

My favorite series so far has been series 3 which was just full of really nice people who wanted to learn how to dance (or at least that is how it came across at the time) and I feel that is what is making me excited about this year. I know its a dance competition and come the final I'll vote for the best dancer, but I also just like to see people learn and enjoy it. I won't vote for Dave but I have to admit I enjoy watching him more then I enjoy watching Abbey . If Abbey was in the final though and was the best there I'd want her to win but I enjoy having a mix of talents and when the ones that aren't so good are humble about it and don't think they are better then they are like we can't all see the dance or something then it makes the whole thing more enjoyable for me personally.”

Hey, it's nice to see a new poster. Glad you're enjoying the series.

I'm hoping Ashley picks up abit and then can challenge the female front runners.

I originally thought Patrick would be good, and while he isn't awful i'm not sure he will stay in long enough to improve enough.

Anyway it's still pretty early, give it another couple of weeks and i think i'll have a better idea of exactly how many duffers we really have

Early Days: Ben may well get his very own "By George, I think Matt Dawson's got it!) moment: certainly the ballet paid off for Week 2.

The best dancers don't do it for me either, hello and welcome to you Awerka.

Really?

I love Ben but he is in the great tradition of Kenny Logan and Gavin Henson, a dancing wardrobe. He might get better at ballroom, but he's always going to struggle with Latin. He's also unlucky getting Kristina, she's too small to correct his frame like Natalie did with Michael last year.

Matt Dawson was relatively small of frame, nimble and able to move relatively fast. So of course was Austin. Someone of Ben's stature is not going to move as well even if they were musical. A side question, now it's been brought up. I know nothing about rugby but am curious as to why there seems such a range of builds in the representatives on the show. Was Ben a fast mover on the pitch?

He wasn't slow, he was quick and immensely strong. You don't really get many at the highest level anymore who are as light as Matt Dawson anymore.

Leigh Halfpenny of Wales is about the same height as Matt or Austin, but he's so much more muscular than even Ben. Most backs these days which is what all the rugby lads on Strictly were, are 6ft 3or 6ft 4 of pure muscle, weighing 17 odd stone and they're getting bigger, taller more muscular all the time.

George North, Alex Cuthbert (wings), Jamie Roberts and Johnathan Davies, the backs for Wales are HUGE, even Mike Phillips the scrum is Ben's height but not mass and they're usually the little ones.

i am pretty worried about the males so far.

there is comedy dave, who i don't 'get'. perhaps because i have never seen his show, therefore have no predisposition to like him. i can't bear his greasy hair, and he shows almost no talent for dance... then there is julien who is like comedy dave but without the comedy.

mark i prefer because he does appear to have some capacity to move, he may go someway due to a combination of that innate ability and his partnership with iveta, which seems quite warm and connected, but he isn't going to become a swan... and neither is the rugby player.

ashely has the potential to be good, but is already being described as 'dull' so may not appeal to veiwers.

patrick should be fab, but ditto above.

I love this year.

We have more than one front runner.

And I seem to have a different favourite couple each week.

Love it.

Personally I think there are a few good dancers this year so it is not a duff year.

And I'll track you down when Ben has a cha cha or a salsa.
