If Abi is a harder nut to crack than the producers think, there could be trouble.
![]() Lou-Lou should really pick better songs for him. |

post-mortem: It was good until the end of the first chorus. It became dreary and the camera angles were bad.

There are some much better comments for Sam on the main forum today. I'm so pleased. I wonder if people are starting to warm to him because XFactor are turning him into a bit of an underdog.
I've already said most of this on other posts, but wanted to post in here too. I absolutely love Sam's attitude. He is polite, dignified, professional and measured, even when faced with the harshest criticism of the night. I love the positivity thing, too. I think people have severely underestimated Sam. I think he's going to have a great career after this. If he is good to work with and the girls continue to love him as much as they seem to now, people in the industry will want to work with him. Also, something I noticed and thought funny... people are saying, as if it were an insult, 'He's only there to put bums on seats on the tour.' Now, excuse my ignorance, but have I completely missed the point of a popstar??? Are they looking for one of those popstars that don't sell tickets??! How silly.

I hope he has a better week but no-one ever comes out of Disco Week looking good!

I think Sam would suit upbeat songs better. He's got a strong voice with weak range so he would be better doing this than some ballad where his range is going to be exposed.
Please do well this week Sam, with Hannah in the bottom 2 I'm fearful for all my favs... Can't they just get rid of Kingsland Road already!

I imagine if anyone can pull off disco week, it'll be Sam. He can dance and prefers up beat numbers, so he should be able to do something with it. Given the right song, of course.

He needs to do a standing back flip mid-performance some time (not this week, though).

Personally, I think that'd be awesome. But you can just hear Gary telling him this isn't a circus.

And look at his grin! I've read him say in a few different interviews that his idols are Robbie and Olly. That must have been amazing for him.

My friend took her daughter, niece and daughter's friend to see him yesterday as he came home to train with his football club for the afternoon.
http://www.essexcountystandard.co.uk..._to_Prom_Park/ She said he was so lovely and made sure he spent time chatting to everyone and made a special fuss of all the kids that had turned up, even though the film crew were trying to drag him away and rush him. She also said he wasn't great at football but was really enthusiastic and completely happy to laugh at himself when he missed the goal and things and all the players bundled on top of him in the mud. Apparently his brother is the captain but she heard Sam admitting that he's rubbish at football, but he loves it anyway. Bless him. |

Hopefully seeing Robbie and Olly means we see a cheeky performance this week.

Sam got Relight My Fire by Dan Hartman, notably covered by Take That (hi, Gary!)

I think Sam could do well with this. The only problem is Gary might go to town as it's one of his songs!

I think (hope) that Abi's "stripped back" I Will Survive will see her in the bottom two this week. For everyone who says Sam C has a shaky voice have they heard Abi?!

The VT, running order, and comments are crucial.

If Gary weren't a judge, I'd be really really looking forward to Sam doing Relight My Fire as I think it'll be upbeat, fun, give him chance to dance, etc. But I'm terrified Gary is going to absolutely slam him for it.
God, I hope the poor boy doesn't get too hard a time. His comments last week were so harsh and not deserved in my opinion. There were lots of acts that barely hit a note but they seem to pick on Sam because he can take it. Or maybe Gary picks on him because he's a threat to Kingsland with regards to the teenybop votes. |
