I was looking forward to Sam doing Relight My Fire but I thought the staging was terrible. There was so much going on around him and it was so distracting. His voice actually reminds me of Justin Bieber (I like the Bieber so I'm not saying that in a derogatory way ha ha) and he's one of the biggest pop stars in the world. I am getting fed up with him getting such negative critiques from the judges and you can tell he is too.

Is it the top 8 who get to go on the tour? I would imagine they would want him on it to get the screaming girls to go! It does seem to me that it is being set up for Sam and Abi to go next, she got a pretty bad VT I thought.

It was very distracting and the camera angles exacerbated the matter.

I did think Gary's "everybody is better than you" comment was unnecessary. You can see the stuffing and confidence getting knocked out of Sam with each passing week. Maybe it would be better for his sake if he was to leave the show soon. He has got exposure now and could launch his career on his own terms. He and Tamera are the only two contestants who could have viable pop careers I think. Sam is right when he says it's not The Voice, he definitely has the looks and charisma to be a popstar - and he can bloody sing!!

I don't think it was Sam's best performance. I thought the song didn't suit him at all! Very bad mentoring on Louis's part. However, it would't surprise me if Sam isn't in the bottom two. His little fans are going ballistic online at the moment. Fingers crossed they keep him in.

On another note. If this was 'vote to evict' I think Sam would be in more danger as he is a controversial act that is causing a strong reaction in people one way or another. But as it's vote to save I think his fans will save him.

Can we just appreciate Gary might have had amazing success with his own career but he clearly doesnt have what it takes when it comes to picking acts for xfactor. He had a bad year last year with the exception of phoney Maloney (and Im not even sure how he got that far) and hes having a pretty dire year this year too. So who cares what he says about Sam? He obviously isn't the best judge of what acts do well on the xfactor.

Also he needs to remember how he got started. Im not the only one who remembers TT rolling around naked in jelly. Certainly wasnt 'all about vocals' then was it? Lol.

Back to Sam, I definitely think this was Sam's worse week. He looked absolutely terrified tbh. And wouldnt you be? Seeing Garys face when he walked out! My heart just dropped for the poor boy.

I hope he will do well with big band week.

Sam did look crushed on Saturday but the more Gary lays into him the safer Sam will be in the vote. Didn't like when he got booed by the audience going through though.

There's a gorgeous photoshoot of Sam in Now magazine (the shoot we saw ripping off the wet T-shirt in his VT last week).

I wonder if Sam had any idea when he entered the X Factor he would end up this year's hate figure? I certainly didn't when I started this appreciation thread! Hope he is bearing up OK with all the pressure and comes out fighting on Saturday.
