Me? No.

Will probably switch on half way through Sunday's show to catch the results and sing off, earlier if I like the sound of the guest.

I really dislike the format of the live shows and the judging panel irritates me no end, making their stupid pronouncements as if their opinions ("we're watching a new global superstar" - act gets dumped the next week) actually mean anything.

I find posting about the show on DS much more enjoyable than watching it. The show itself is crap.

That's what Box Sets are for. I'm getting into Supernatural at the moment. Love the older brother. You can pick them up for buttons from Play.com's marketplace. It's cheaper than Amazon because there's no compulsory postage cost plus DVDs are going out due to streaming.

Even better, say a series has 8 seasons, you can pick up an old box set of say seasons 1-5 or 1-6 for next to nothing and then get the others individually.

Simples.

Do what nearly everyone else is doing and watch Strictly..

I'm usually out gigging myself over the weekend and record both shows to watch over breakfast Sunday morning..that way, I can zap through all the crap with the remote.

On the occasions I'm in, Strictly is on too early, as I'd prefer to watch it over dinner at 8-ish, so again, I'd record it and the X-Factor, watch Strictly Saturday night, as there are no ads and then the X-Factor Sunday morning..so I can again zap through the crap and the ads..

I agree, the whole thing is dragged out ridiculously and these last few weeks have been dreadful, even with the option of using the fast-forward.

I may watch the final "live," just in case there's anyone left in who I can be bothered to vote for..

Rich.

I am so looking forward to seeing one of the best live finals that there has been. Some real talent for a change in Hannah and Tamera.

I agree, I think this will be one of the most interesting and close fought series for some time..

We've mercifully been spared any joke acts..and apart from Louis with his "pretty boy," and gonk boy choice and Gary with his "gonk," boy band, there's little in the way of guys to get too wound up about, though even these, I'm sure will be voted in on the basis of how "cute," they are in preference to better singers for a few weeks.

So, maybe, this year, we won't have the distractions of people like Rylan gumming up the works and can look forward to some passably good vocal contests.

You must watch on Saturday so you can post another thread about how flawless Abi is and make everyone mad when she stays.

You are assuming that both of them get to the final, I can't honestly see it myself as Hannah is just another loud mouthed diva that provides nothing new to the competition. Yes she is a Soul artist, but unless Soul is due to make a massive comeback , then I very much doubt that she will make it big like other modern soul artists like the superb & beautiful Joss Stone, as there just isn't that much call for Soul in this day of age. Yes Soul was a cracking genre of music back in the day, but sadly there isn't that much call for it nowadays. Also Hannah isn't as well liked by the public as you may well think, yes she has got fans, but I cannot see her making it to the grand final.

Also the thing about loud mouthed divas is that they hardly dominate the industry any more & cannot see Hannah breaking into it. You look at other loud mouthed divas & ask how they have dominated the industry in recent times.

Mariah Carey - Sure she releases the odd album here & there, but isn't as big as she used to be

Celine Dion - Yes she has a new album coming out, but she only has a certain fan base, so very much doubt that she will dominate the industry.

Alexandra Burke - Winner of the 2009 X factor was promised great things, yet has gone through 2 record labels after flopping (probably mainly due to releasing a cover of hooray hooray it's a happy holiday) & even tho she is working on her 3rd album, she is recently quoted as saying that she will be giving away more free music before her new album is released.

Speaking of loud mouthedX factor contestants that were loud mouthed divas & thought to dominate the industry getting loads of airplay & massive gig, where are they now.

Misha B - People said that she was going to be another Nicki Minger but she has failed to dominate the industry to date.

Rachel Hylton - From series 5 hasn't hardly done anything to dominate the industry as far as I am aware.

Treyc Cohen - Had numerous attempts at the X factor & rightfully got voted off the lives because she just wasn't that good, hell she even gave up a record label that she had a flopped cd with, just so she could make it big with the X factor, what is she doing now ?, oh yeah that's right a small time theatre productions, but other than that practically done sod all to make her name as much of a headline as her gorgeous arse. Because she isn't talented enough to dominate the industry.

Rebecca Ferguson - Has had some success of record sales since the X factor, but has hardly dominated.

So a question for you jerefprdterra, what makes you think that Hannah "Ball her eyes out" Barrett is going to be any different to the above finalists. Yes by all means she might make it to the final if she is extremely lucky, but I cannot honestly see it happening.

To misquote that seminal, raw cutting edge piece of work by Billie Piper..

"Because I want to, because I want to!"

Why does anybody do anything?

Why do you keep starting threads?
Not that it's occurred to me to ask.....till now!

Take a listen to Colourful and Solar radio, and you will see how much good soul music is currently around.

I love to listen to Julie Ann Ryan on Colourful Friday evenings. She plays a real variety of genres which is a great listen.

I will take a listen, but cannot promise that I will like it as I have become quite a music snob with certain Genres, as I only mainly listen to Rock music, 80's , a little bit of Rap like Snoop Dog & Eminem, and artists like P!nk, Adele & Lana Del Rey as well as some Ska & Reggae. I refuse to listen to Drum n bass & dubstep crap. But as it is Soul, I will give it a listen to. Who knows I may even like it in small doses.

I've listened to her show quite a bit and yes she puts a lot of variety on her show - if people listen to her show, then they'll know about good music
I mean there are others on Colourful Radio that are good like Jacqui Grant. Elijah Hall, Elaine Smith, and President!!

It's certainllly one of the better radio stations around. I am not keen on stations that just stick to the same playlists which makes it really dull.

Well, now we both know why we do these things....though your reason is more sound than mine..

I agree with your comment about it being more interesting to bitch (my word) about the X-Factor than actually watch it.
