'Punching the air' moments!
Pull2Open

I think the last time I had this with Doctor Who was when Jacobi uttered the line 'I, am, the Master!' in Utopia!

Does anyone suspect the that 50th will have a 'punching the air' moment? I am still holding out for the whole Eccleston thing being an elaborate red herring! Yes I know its doubtful to impossible, but one can hope!

What would be your 'punching the air' wish for the 50th or even what was the last Doctor Who PTA moment for you?

Opening Sequence: TARDIS lands, Doors open and Paul McGann steps out.

A link between the opening of The End of Time Part 2 (when Rassilion hears of The Doctor preparing to use The Moment) and the introduction of Time War Doctor.

But anything Paul McGann related..

Me too, I don't know how I managed it but I somehow remained spoiler free for that episode so the big reveal was a complete surprise.

I did read a rumour from a single source on GB that the Hurt Doctor was going to use the Hartnell style Tardis interior from An Adventure in Space and Time which could cause me to issue a discrete yelp if true....I really miss the pneumatically moving central column.

It would be that The Tardis turned out to be The Doctor's mother

My punch in the air was seeing the TARDIS console room for the first time in what seemed years. 'The Colony in Space' I believe it was.....crappy story - but at least the TARDIS was back intact!!

That ^^^^ and the moment in 2003 when its return was announced after so many year. I didn't think either would ever happen, delighted to be proved wrong.

if 'dare i say' that moffat being a whovian 'true fan' and like most of us wanting paul mcgann to be in the 50th i think he will be ,,,it would be 100% sense for him to be in the time war and fill an emptiness in that period

yes he should be in ,,wheres the harm in over 3 secs putting him in there ...nothing....itll do phenominally good

Versus punching at thin air for the years preceding whenever he attempted to deliver a line?

I remember cheering when the 10th Doctor said "Gallifrey" for the first time (to the Racnoss Queen). Naturally the merest mention of the G-word was met with anger and revulsion over at Outpost Censorship but oh well.

I remember getting very excited when The Daleks appeared at the end of "Army of Ghosts". I had a slight feeling they would considering we saw their beams being fired in the trailer, but I started to convince myself that it was misdirection, so them actually showing up did come as somewhat of a surprise.

Actually, that cliffhanger almost sent me crazy for the following week, I don't think I'd ever been as excited for an episode as I was for "Doomsday".

Yes, Army of Ghosts had the same effect on me - The Master reveal in Utopia did too.

School Reunion, Sarah Jane discovers the Tardis, turns around and there's the Doc. Still gets me emotional...

My punch came when the Slitheen appeared. "Yes! Farting aliens at last!" I exclaimed with adequate gusto.

You know, the "Give me this day/everybody lives" monologue from 9. Gets me everytime...

Good one from TDD he manages to stop the bomb ,bring everyone back and reunite Jamie with his mum Nancy. Sadly the doctor doesn't have enough days like that. Guess my moment would be 10 and Rose reuniting at teh end of S4 afetr 2 years apart. He then gives her the best gift ever. Half human version of himself to love and spend her life with.
