do you think barlow was always going to put the girl group (who he cobbled together) through to the lives? watching on the weekend it seemed inevitable that, having created them, he would back them over any of the other 'groups'

That girl group is truly awful and yes they can never find an established group they like so they use the audtions as a way to form these daft bands.

it would be good if the groups category was actually propper groups - ie, bands. a frontman who can sing and a few others who can play instruments, instead of just harmonising like your bog standard boyband/girlgroup. maybe then we might see some real talent

LOl does this really need to be asked? The producers dont put something together just for it to be rejected. They put it together and then decide it will go through. That's the point.

Maybe one year they will throw in a *gasp* surprise and actually turn on of them down.

Not sure a 'real' band would want to go on XF. It would seem totally at odds to what real bands are all about, i.e. real music.

Real vocal groups do enter the X-Factor, yet, in recent years they've been shoved aside in favour of a cobbled together group..

Instead of buying this, I wish the public would vote them out in the first round..

I feel sorry for any vocal group that enters the X-Factor, because they must know that they're actually fighting for two places..

The other will, without doubt be taken up by some made up group....

What disappoints me more than anything with all this, is that Gary Barlow goes along with it.

We even had a cheesy and I'm pretty sure staged, conversation between Barlow and Olly Murs, where he thought one of the other groups had been put together..whereas this year's lego ladies, sounded as if they'd "been together for years."

They must think we all came down in the last shower.

But Rich - the X-Factor's TV audience enables the makers to treat them like they came down in the last shower - so really they get what they ask for.

yes he was, they needed a girl group, you wouldn't put one together and then not pick them.

and if you did you'd properly cut the footage from transmission.

yes I'm disappointed that Gary has bought into the fakery, I thought he might be the one judge who would stand up for more authenticity in the programme.

They were probably the best group at Judges Houses. They were terrible at Boot Camp, of course, but I think they vindicated themselves on Sunday.

As for them always going through.... OF COURSE NOT!!!! How could you say such a thing. I'm sure Gary deliberated deeply with his fellow judges, with Olly Murs and with his own conscience before makng his decision. X-Factor wouldn't cheat things or mess about with people's hopes and dreams like that you know.

After all, this is a serious singing competition.

exactly - as if olly murs isnt going to be briefed about the groups. he isnt going to just rock up and listen without some brief beforehand..... these are the bands, this is the background, here's previous performances etc. it's also laughable to think that barlow, tulisa or anyone else for that suddenly had an epiphany and thought, I know I'll put together a band based on these random people

It makes one wonder just how scripted the show can be - would Olly Murs have been acting under instruction in saying that Brick City sounded as though they'd just been put together and Miss Dynamix like an established group? Either way, to me Miss Dynamix are the most promising group in the competition and I'm glad they're through. The format does lend itself to groups being assembled from contestants who don't quite make the cut as solo singers or who stand out in otherwise lacklustre bands - can't say I see anything wrong in that personally.

After hearing Melanie McCabe say that they film the contestants in first class in the planes on the way to judges houses but then make them go and sit in cheaper seats I think pretty much everything is manipulated.

I found that both hilarious and depressing - and how cheap are the programme makers? That's soo tacky. They probably aren't even honest about their own names.

Yes, the producer made band was always going through. I'd find it hysterical if they were first out after all this hype.

Yep just so he can take credit for if they get far. Which is another reason why I hope they don't.

Yes, that would make it much easier, if only it was possible to get/persuade people to get off their backsides and kill off this annual injustice then the Lego Ladies wouldn't stand a chance..

If anyone cared enough, I suppose a facebook campaign could be organized along the lines of those that have tried to keep the X-factor away from the Xmas number one..

There'd be no need for it to get "nasty," there's no reason to have anything against the 3 of them personally.

They're just as much a victim out of it all as the members of the public who buy into the whole charade..

Mind you they all had the option to back out and say no didn't they?

You never know, perhaps they're all already planning their respective "solo," careers for when it all comes crashing down.

Rich.

The answer to this is, yes.

Seriously, is he going to take that kind of a chance and then just throw them away ? He's going to push that lot like crazy cos it will make him look soooooo good if they should win.

My own thoughts are that they should not be there anyway. These girls had already been rejected for not being good enough as individuals and its grossly unfair on other, genuine groups who missed out. Once out, they should stay out.
