Lucy Spraggan's album is number 3 on iTunes.

Anyone else shocked by this?

It is a very good album, though!

I'm shocked. It'll be interesting to see if it's still in the top 10 in a few days.

Shocked it's 3 but in the best possible way. Not entirely shocked she's doing well though. She's a damn good songwriter, and she writes for her voice so it works. Go Lucy!

I'm a little surprised. I don't do iTunes except under extreme duress, or buy downloads at all when physical media are available, but would its position there be helped much by the download seemingly being exclusive to them for now? It's unusual for Amazon not to be offering a new album on mp3 but they don't have this one. I've given them an order for the deluxe version of the CD, currently number 82 in Music there while the standard version is at 80.

Not really my cup of tea, but fair play to her.

Lucy actually has a good solid fanbase I've noticed both of her singles have gone top 20 on iTunes I think even Last Night got to 11 on iTunes last week and her album is now to 3 on iTunes and that's without really any radio support . I reckon if she didn't drop out of the show and got further in the competition she would be doing even better than she is.

I never got her, not my thing, clever lyricist but she is a poor singer. Its been done before and better by Victoria Wood.

I can't see her being more than a one hit wonder with that Last Night song.

The Tea and Toast arrangement on the album sucks compared to the single.

I'm not so sure she's that clever a lyricist. The rhyming couplets in 'Tea and Toast' were a bit GCSE Music. When you rely too much on rhyming words like she does it gets a bit cringeful like that Des'ree song 'Life'.
