I am very witty, and people take things far too seriously on here.

I reckon Hannah will do well as she can really connect to her songs , sort of like James Arthur the way he connects to his songs. Audiences and viewers always like that. I don't think Hannah will win but everyone will be talking about her voice and how great it is after she sings. It depends on what she sings. Hannah will do well maybe around 5th/6th. Tamera will get to the final and I think win. Tamera's going to always receive praise from the judges.

Melanie's voice is far from bland. It's pure and crisp, and the whistle notes she used in "Run" were stunning. She sang with genuine emotion and feeling throughout the competition.

All six girls who made it through to JH are great singers. Frankly, it was Tamera's looks and potential for controversy, Hanna's backstory and guaranteed waterworks each week, and Abi's different style that helped them to advance over the other 3. It is a TV show after all, and TV shows need characters.

I agree with everything you said, particularly that they all have talent, but want to mention that there are no "whistle notes" in the song "Run"."Whistle" reg usually begins around e6 to f6, sometimes lower for deep voices.

I think that Melanie was technically the best because Hannah's voice did sound really strained at times, but saying that I preferred Hannah because she's just so full of emotion and she can sing! Hannah's tone isn't for everyone though admittedly so she will run into some problems in the final stages. Melanie has that mainstream commercial voice that would have done well but it's a shame that we had such a talented category and only 3 places. I hope Mel can come back.

I think both deserved it ... they're different singers and they're very hard to compare, but I feel like people are completely underplaying Melanie's talent. She has a beautiful, crisp voice and it's disappointing that she wasn't put forward.

It's so funny how people see things so differently, because I thought it was a really weak category; Tamara for me was the only dead cert to go through and that is as much to do with her looks and presence as her voice.

Melanie seems like a truly nice person, but I found her totally forgettable - I only remember her because she's the one that's tried so many times and her final 'no' from Nicole was absolutely heartbreaking to watch, not because of any of her performances. Hannah I found really unlikable, but I did think she was by far the better singer and earned her spot. As for Abi, that itsy bitsy girlie type of voice rapidly palls and I don't think she'll last long, and I agree that she might have just been put in as the 'quirky' one to appeal to a certain audience. Relley would have been a fair choice to go through over her though.

I think Hannah has a great chance of winning, but Melanie never did.

But the fact remains that Melanie was not good enough to progress.

It is very bland she dosen't connect with people which is exactly what Mary J Blidge said and why she's been rejected four times .

Melanie has no commerical appeal at all there's nothing special about the girl and I couldn't imagine her in the charts .

Why did Nicole take a break to think before Tamera? could it be she was maybe torn between Melanie and Tamera? not that I could see that happening .
I think Nicole's head was thinking Melanie has the voice it's her 4th time she should take Melanie through but her heart was telling her to take Tamera through.

And yet you are still talking about her and so is everyone else on this forum constantly...go figure.

It is somewhat ironic that she is the one who doesn't have it yet has one of the highest fan followings, highest video views and is one of the most talked about over all of the contestants who went through.

That's what I was thinking too. I don't think her vocals are bland because I do think it is technically good but yes there's is no commercial appeal and as you rightly pointed out MJB said the same thing as well or was it Nicole? I know one of them said it that there is a disconnection with her
