Hoorah for that!

I think they may be being a bit "previous".

Though if she can keep getting a good leaderboard position and pleasing enough viewers I can see her as a contender.

If she's good at proper latin then she's in with a chance.

She won't be.

She's too stiff.

Joint favourite with Natalie, both available at 5/2.
Rachel out to 33/1...get your money on, she could still "come good" with some hard work.

33/1 is excellent for Rachel. I don't think the Salsa was her dance, but she's got loads to give yet

It all boils down to her being able to do a latin well.

At the moment they are probably just following the betting, too early to start predicting winners. Her dance on Saturday might have brought in a lot of bets so they need to cover themselves in case she does win. If millions of people put large bets on Julian MacDonald winning then the odds would change even though there is (hopefully) no prospect of him winning.

I nearly had money on Rachel before it started, she was well fancied then. I'm glad I didn't now of course, but 33/1 is tempting. I think she's better than she appeared on Saturday.

I got Sophie EB at 20-1 And Rachel is better than what she showed on Saturday, just not her dance IMO

Two weeks' in and she's favourite!! Last week everyone raved about Abbey and her waltz. That was amAZing. Sophie's Charleston is the best I've ever seen on Strictly. But, as others have said, who's to say she'll handle the Latin and other dances well.

I quite like the way everyone rushes in one direction in terms of a favourite and then the following week rushes somewhere else. It makes for a lively set of opinions, that's for sure!!

That's true. Likeable girl, popular dance with the viewers and she put in a great performance. Money would have piled on her this week. I'm not yet convinced that she will be a great all-rounder though.

That's looking good now.

I thought her Charleston was cute and suited her to a T. She looks gorgeous, but she is not comfortable in close hold with Brendan, has problems even touching him and is actually very stiff.

This is just not her thing. She is very shy. I can't imagine how she will handle a samba or a rumba

The latter will make her die of embarrassment. There is no way she can be 'sensuous' with Brendan.

Mind you, I couldn't either - but would have no problem with either Artem or Aljaz.

I got 14/1 on Abbey on the Friday of the first show and then when she danced on the first Saturday she went down to 4/1 so I think the odds can change dramatically in the early stages of the competition.

Not only that, she hasn't really mastered ballroom at all yet either. Her waltz wasn't that great- a lot of work to be done.

Her dancing is ace but I don't think she connects with the viewers and she's peaked way too soon. As lots on here have said before, the public's winner has to have a "strictly journey".

It's far too soon to judge her ability and her staying power.

She's not the best dancer by a long shot and, so far, only has limited ability. However, she looks wonderful and will draw the 'Ahs' when she shows up.

What she can REALLY do remains to be seen but - from a dancer's point of view - she has a lot to learn. Unbending that spine and getting over her fear/distaste for close contact with her partner is crucial.

Well that last point is her 'journey' itself personally.

In fairness sometimes the best dancer does not win and she does have an empathetic personality which will win her votes.

Excuse me, but her waltz was very good. It put her 3rd on the 1st week leaderboard.

She still has a lot to work on with her ballroom- just my opinion. I'd put her behind Natalie and Abbey ballroom wise, and on a level with Rachel. (although I preferred Rachel's waltz) As I say, just my opinion.
