I don't dislike the entire lineup, I think the majority are weak though. And those who aren't aren't that strong and/or have some kind of negative trait that bugs me to the extent that I can't connect with them. None are great, all are average though so none of them have sheer ability to balance any other problems.
Its an odd lineup.
The groups and boys have nothing for me. The three guys (rough copy) could be pretty good, but there is a line between having confidence and swagger and coming across badly (like berks), they have ran so fast at being confident that they haven't even noticed the line. They actually make me cringe a little with embarassment as its too much. The girl group, I like cece's voice but as a trio they seem very typical and generic. The other one, I'm at a loss.
The boys, well I'm neither a 14 year old girl or a grandma so they don't interest me in he slightest. If Paul got through I would have liked him.
The overs, Lorna is decent but I'm not sold yet and I'm not sure if she is the type I would get behind. The other two will be walking overs stereotypes.
The girls are the strongest...
Tamera is decent but not as good as she is hyped up to be and very inconsistent. I also can't warm to her at all which makes it hard to really get behind her. Her negative traits happen to be bugbears of mine that I can't get past, they make me dislike her.
Abi is interesting but I'm not sure whether I would rate her. I'm not sure, we shall see.
Hannah is actually pretty good but she too is difficult to connect with because she is so negative with her "woe is me" attitude and constant crying. I find that a really, really unattractive quality and it actually bugs me, which takes away from her talent.
I'd have preferred Melanie as one of the girls as she has a polished, strong voice and isn't "damaged" by something negative that detracts from her ability.
I'd have preferred Paul as one of the boys as I liked his voice and as a male on XF he had IMO a broader appeal beyond young girls or the "aww" thing.
I think their not being there weakens the final 12. If it wasn't for the desperation and kid pimping I'd have preferred Joeseph as one of the overs or either of the other two women (names slip me a lot at this point).
