It will be one of those shows that will decline with each season. Like how The OC and Glee were. The show peaked far too early and the success has gone to it's head.

I started reading a three book series, that became five books, that had two split into two books so that's upto 7 then and that's where the show ended last season. So just how long is it since Martin wrote a new book? And just how does he intend to end it in another two books that'll probably be split into 5 more books?

And he can now rely on tv scriptwriters to do the hard work. Mind you I thought he didn't know what to do next, that's why he hasn't written in so long.

It's been five years since the last GOT book. He does seem to be a slow writer. It should of actually been completed last year and then it was meant to be completed early this year.
