Decent opening for Cristela.
6.57 million (1.3) It won the slot... in fact it was the joint 2nd highest of the entire night, just behind Shark Tank. |

Tried to watch Cristela, lasted about an agonising 90 seconds. Laugh-track was appalling.

Whose Line and ANTM is a solid lineup for The CW, do better in the demo than some of their shows and at a fraction of the cost
The Amazing Race I wouldn't be surprised if it is axed or with only one season a year. |

Jane might surprise us, well not ratings wise, but quality wise, it's gotten a good reaction from critics.

Hart Of Dixie wrapped up it's fourth season 5 days ago, with many of the cast members on facebook and twitter saying it was a great four years and they are sad it is ending.
The CW only gave season 4 ten episodes but never confirmed (although many predicted) it would be it's final season. |

I think HoD got a shortened season because of Rachel Bilson's pregnancy - she's due fairly soon, I believe. The only thing that is surprising is that the 4th season only got 10 episodes, which doesn't take it to the syndication threshold - although that number is definitely more variable than it once was, 76 episodes isn't quite at the 88 number most shows aim for these days. They've not announced that it's done for good, but I can't imagine that Rachel will return to any production that quickly after having a baby. It does sound like they're wrapped for the series, not just the season. The ratings were never that great anyway.

and yes, i think the low episode order was mainly for Bilson's pregnancy. Unless they would of shut down production while she had her baby and resumed a few months later for more episodes, like they did for Jennifer Garner in Alias. |

NFL likely do do a monster rating next Sunday, 49ers at Broncos, Peyton Manning breaks the all time most touchdowns scored record if he scores 3, NBC pushing it hard.

I'm interested to see TWD ratings, it usually hits a series high in the season opener, even if it debuts lower, the show's going nowhere.

Gotham has been given six extra episodes. The show had already been given 16 and will now have a total of 22 episodes.
I am surprised at this as i read an interview with the producer not long after FOX picked it up that they only specifically wanted 16 episodes for season 1. |

I am shocked at this as i read an interview with the producer not long after FOX picked it up that they only specifically wanted 15 episodes for season 1. The problems come if the decision adversely affects the season plans the writers had - and they need to stretch the story that would have run over 16 episodes, and eke out another 6 episodes without losing any of the pace they had. Tough ask, especially if the Gotham producers were pretty adamant that they wanted to tell the season's story in 16 episodes originally. I'm guessing everyone's getting a very nice bonus for the extra work! |

Amazing numbers for The Walking Dead, 17.3 with an 8.7 demo. A great episode too, well deserved.

I think Fox need a show that's going to run for the full 22 episodes, and Gotham is the most likely candidate given it's had such a strong start. There's very few on that network that are currently scheduled for that - Glee is just 13 episodes, The Mindy Project 15, Sleepy Hollow 18, Gracepoint 10, Empire and Wayward Pines also both due to be limited series - there's actually very few that have the 'full' season order. That leaves gaps in the schedule, especially when you consider the likely cancellations that will be happening sooner rather than later.

Jane the Virgin launched with 0.6 (1.63m). The Originals remained steady with 0.7 (1.34m).
The highest rated shows of the night were The Big Bang Theory (4.6/15.63m) and The Voice (3.9/12.97m). http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...virgin/314282/ |

The Originals has seen a bit of a decrease in ratings but the demo's are still strong
0.6 sounds alright for Jane the virgin but then let's see how it does in future airings. |

Amazing L+3 ratings numbers released for The Flash, 6.42m and 2.5 rating, a 33% increase on live figures. It's officially the most watched CW premiere ever, and is way higher than the L3 (5.49m) and L7 (5.66m) viewers that The Vampire Diaries got in 2009. The L+7 figures aren't out yet (obviously) but it can clearly go even higher. If you consider that Gotham added +0.9 between days +4 and +7, there could be even more records broken with The Flash!
