Wonder how Mom will perform, does anyone have the demo's for it during the 1st season? It was in the high 1s if I recall. (I think it ended with 1.6 though).
IMO, it was one of those shows where surprisingly, it never really fell, it hit its peak in the middle and then when it got warmer, it dropped a little. Viewer wise it launched with 7.99m, hit 9.5m+ for one of its episodes in January, before ending with ~7m. Am I right in thinking it is still following Big Bang? So, 2.7 and 11m could we say? |

Mom was a hell of a surprising little gem last season. I thought "urgh anna faris drives me nuts but i'll check it out" and it was amazing. Got better every episode.
I can't remember it's demos but they were average. However it performed very strong in summer reruns and Alison Janney's emmy win may have even helped help the show gain more notice. Having big bang theory as the show's lead i believe will take the demo's and ratings even higher. You couldn't ask for a better show to air before you. |

Mom along with Friends with Better Lives got better as it got along, a shame FWBL didn't get a few more weeks to air in the US. It had a loyal fanbase the few weeks it ran. |

I think CBS seems to like Mom over The Millers giving it The Big Bang Theory lead in. I'm not sure where they are going to put The Odd Couple or Mike and Molly. They must be seeing how The McCarthys fare before making any decision. Given how hugely successful Melissa McCarthy is doing film wise, it's a surprise she's still doing Mike and Molly, it must be near syndication and I imagine she must want to move on.
Madam Secretary would be good on Fridays but I imagine CBS will save one or two of its veteran shows over it. |

There is a rumor that has been circulating for a few years that Melissa hates doing Mike and Molly, especially as her movie career has boomed since Bridesmaids and she can only film her movies in the summer break she has between the seasons, but is sticking around due to the contract she signed. I wonder how many she signed for? I think the minute her contract is up, she will be done.
I always got the impression CBS favored Mom over The Millers as well. I think that is largely because of Anna Faris, whom they have wanted to work with for a long time but her movie career and then pregnancy put Televison projects on the back burner until they finally had her available for Mom. I am curious to see how Mike and Molly and 2 Broke girls do this season, as their demos do seem to decrease with each new season, especially 2 broke girls who has never remained consistent. I think 2 broke girls and Mike and Molly have been paired up this season. |

Mom has the potential to grow, 2 Broke Girls I think should get another season as WB will want to get it to 100 episodes plus CBS likely don't want to lose another sitcom with TAAHM ending. I imagine CBS has high hopes on The Odd Couple which has the familiar name plus is produced by CBS so they'll give it leeway/ |

I do wonder if the odd couple will break Matthew Perry's curse. He has had three short lived shows since Friends.

Despite football, MS and OUAT saw a rise. Resurrection is doing bad. I wonder why the sudden decline. The first few episodes were 2.0, or slightly under. Maybe people realised what a naff show it is? I hope it is cancelled (how harsh of me). There are only `13 episodes this season anyway. |

Looks like the football overrun boosted CBS last night, Madam Secretary while the demo is low does seem to have a case of moving to Fridays as it's ratings are very good.
It'll be interesting to see the Thursday numbers for CBS now football is over for them |

That's not good for Resurrection. Wow. I will post the full list ( along with Fridays final ratings) which should be out either later or tomorrow.

CBS has picked up all their dramas for a full season, that's going to make scheduling hard since they have Battle Creek, The Mentalist and CSI Cyber for midseason although CSI Cyber seems likely to replace CSI.
I imagine if the McCarthys flops, we'll likely see Mike and Molly come in early and possibly The Odd Couple. |

Unless Madam Secretary takes a massive decline and never has a chance to complete it's full season order. That's really CBS only new show at the moment that isn't really delivering as well as the others. |

According to household ratings...
-Winners: “Dancing With the Stars” (ABC), “The Voice” (NBC), “Scorpion” (CBS). “The Blacklist” (NBC) -Honorable Mention: “2 Broke Girls” (CBS), “Castle” (ABC), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (CBS) -Disappointing: “Sleepy Hollow” (Fox) -Losers (excluding repeats): “The Millers” (CBS), “The Originals” (CW), “Jane the Virgin” (CW) However I wouldn't really put JTV and TO as "losers". According to write up, the lost only a bit of audience from the week before, so JTV was probably at around 0.5 still, and TO at around 0.5-0.6. The Millers dropped by a big 25% on its S2 premiere which itself didn't do too well, so The Millers is in a bad way IMO. 2 Broke Girls returned with a solid number with a similar demo from HIMYM last year. Scorpion is the outright winner of the night it seems staying pretty much static despite having a weak The Millers lead in. |

How bad must the millers be doing then? It got 2.0 last week.
The originals has really seen a decline this season. I can't help but wonder if audiences are just not interested in vampires. True blood has been laid to rest. The twilight saga came to it's natural end. The vampire diaries is losing quality. Audiences seem more interested in comic book heroes, end of the word apocalypses or horror movies being turned into television series. |

Maybe, I have no idea whether I should bother to catch up with The Originals. I stopped after Rebeckah's exit and haven't watched it since. The Vampire Diaries has been losing quality ever since the S4 premiere, I never liked Elena as a vampire. And the bright spots of S5 was when Katherine was around. However I have to say I am enjoying S6 more than S5 though. But I do agree that people are losing interest in vampires now. But it has had a great stint, Buffy launched in 1997 and brought all these shows/films into practice... Angel, Twilight, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries... all of them having a "good" vampires, etc... It seems that currently, it's the turn of the comic book heroes. |

Well i can't say i am surprised The millers is dropping. First half of season 1 was brilliant and the second half was poor. The addition of Sean Hayes (who i do not think much to) isn't helping either. I am giving it a few more episodes and then if it doesn't increase in quality, i will likely be dropping the millers myself.
I got bored of the originals after about 10 episodes. Considering my fav character later left, i am glad i gave up while i did. TVD was terrible last season, to the point i just fastforward most of the episodes and never even bothered watching the finale. I will be giving season 6 ago, but instead of watching it US pace, i'll just check it out on UK pace as i am not too eager to want to see it before the Uk gets a chance to see it. |

I think it's more to do with The Vampire Diaries reaching its sixth season. That's a long run for any show on the CW, people were bound to tire of it eventually and it seems to be taking The Originals with it.
Disappointing for Jane. One of the best new shows this year. At least it already got a full season order. |

If jane doesn't improve, The CW will regret giving Jane a full season order. But then The CW have as much right to easily take away that full season order and reduce it.
