Looks like it's between Bad Judge and About a Boy on which won't make past this year. Marry Me looks secure for full season. Speaking of which, how did Laura get one??

Like i said before, the ratings are not good but not bad where it needs to be taken off the air ASAP

Hardly any of NBC's new shows are doing well so they need to compromise

What comedies do NBC have for mid season? At the moment NBC don't have a single comedy to take into next season going by current numbers unless they do a pity renewal.

- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
- Mr Robinson
- One Big Happy

These are supposed to be starting next year.

I personally think NBC have never done any decent comedies since Friends and The Golden Girls. Many would also say Seinfield as well. and it just goes to show because all three of those sitcoms are still hugely popular and shown all over the world till this very day

I think ABC does comedy a hell of a lot better.

According to household ratings, the World Series big ratings didn't really affect anything.

Mysteries of Laura, Arrow (1.9 household rating down from 2.0 the week before) The 100 (1.1 household down from 1.2 week before), The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Blackish and The Middle were all pretty much identical to a week earlier. Arrow, The 100 and Blackish only fell in households by like 2% ish. The Middle was up a tiny bit from last week (5.1 household compared to 5.0 last week) Nashville was identical to last week with a 3.9 household rating.

But with households, we never really know. The figures always confuse me.

But going by these, I'd predict:

MoL- 1.3
Arrow- 0.9
The 100- 0.5
Blackish- 2.4
Modern Family- 3.4
The Middle- 2.1
The Goldbergs- 2.3

Early ratings in, the CW is inflated due to the world series but Arrow got a tied season high of 1.0 and The 100 got 0.6. However as I said they will likely be adjusted down.

Meanwhile in my eyes the winner of the night is Blackish which went up two tenths to hit a 2.7. Wow, it's certainly a surprise hit judging by the fact the shows following Modern Family never do very well.

I will post the full ratings later and the final ratings later too.

Praying that The 100 doesn't adjust down, but not holding my breath.

It's so underrated.

A decline for Stalker
Nashville seems very comfortable in it's 1.4/1.5 earning. A fourth season is a given i think
Blackish still doing incredibly well. Kicking ass. It's has been a longtime since an all black comedy series has broken out the way Black-ish has.

The final ratings will be interesting, I predict a lot if adjustments.

As for tonight, its a big premiere night for CBS and for ABCs strong block...
Prediction:

CBS:

Big Bang theory- 4.6
Mom- 2.8
Men- 2.4
The Mccarthys- 2.3

ABC:
Scandal- 2.9
Murder- 2.8

NBC:
The Biggest Loser- 1.2
Bad Judge- 1.0
A to Z- 0.9
Parenthood- 1.2

CW:
Vampire Diaries- 0.8
Reign- 0.4

Looks like Grey's has wisely taken their week off as they will be dented by TBBT and possibly Mom, had Grey's aired tonight. Granted, they are showing Halloween Charlie Brown specials. Predictions for ABC sounds about right. Modern Family held up well against World Series.

Forgot to add that Elementary starts tonight too. It's a little odd for CBS to have something more serious after a 4 piece comedy block of Big Bang, Mom, Two and a Half Men, The McCarthy's and then having Elementary.

Wednesday finals. The 100 and Nashville adjusted down, The Goldbergs, Modern Family and Stalker adjusted up.

CBS:
Survivor- 9.07m (2.2)
Criminal Minds- 10.48m (2.3)
Stalker- 7.36m (1.6)

NBC:
The Mysteries of Laura- 7.49m (1.2)

ABC:
The Middle- 6.99m (1.8)
The Goldbergs- 6.91m (2.2)
Modern Family- 9.92m (3.5)
Blackish- 7.67m (2.7)
Nashville- 5.59m (1.4)

FOX:
World Series Game 7- 23.52m (6.6)

CW:
Arrow- 2.49m (1.0)
The 100- 1.48m (0.5)

Yes Arrow! It didn't adjust down, and hit its season high (same as the first episode of S3). The 100 held from last week, but not sure if it's in a great position. A shame for The Middle at 1.8, but fantastic for Blackish at 2.7!

As expected from the World Series.

According to households, these are the winners, losers, etc...

Winners:
“The Big Bang Theory” (CBS), “Mom” (CBS), “Scandal” (ABC), “Two and a Half Men” (CBS), “How to Get Away With Murder” (ABC)

-Positive Sampling:
“The McCarthys” (CBS)

-Diluted:
“The Biggest Loser” (NBC), “The Vampire Diaries” (CW)

-Losers:
“Bad Judge” (NBC), “A To Z” (NBC), “Gracepoint” (Fox), “Reign” (CW)

However even though Mom was seen as a "winner", it only kept 64% of Big Bangs demo, which isn't exactly great retention. So I predict around a 2.5 demo for Mom (as Big Bang probably got around 4.7).

Mom had a 2.7 out of TBBT 4.1, I'd say that's pretty damn good and much better than The Millers, while The McCarthy's debuted to a poor 1.9 out of TAHM 2.7. Elementary returnedto a rather dismal 1.4 to round off the night.

Scandal held its 3.0 but HTGAWM dipped to a still good 2.7.

Usual rubbish for NBC and Fox.

Ouch TVD...

Reign suddenly looks a lot better.

Thursday early ratings:

CBS:
Big Bang Theory- 16.22m (4.1) (Time period return)
Mom- 11.72m (2.7)
Two and a Half Men- 11.01m (2.7)
The McCarthy's- 8.78m (1.9)
Elementary- 8.17m (1.4)

ABC:
Charlie Brown (r)- 6.25m (1.7)
Scandal- 9.15m (3.0)
How To Get Away with Murder- 8.52m (2.7)

NBC:
The Biggest Loser- 4.39m (1.1)
Bad Judge- 3.96m (0.9)
A to Z- 2.56m (0.7)
Parenthood- 3.85m (1.1)

FOX:
Bones- 5.53m (1.3)
Gracepoint- 3.34m (0.4)

CW:
The Vampire Diaries- 1.56m (0.7)
Reign- 1.31m (0.5)

That's not good for The Vampire Diaries! :/ Reign is holding though! Ouch for NBC in general there!

Mom did OK I guess, similar to how The Millers was doing behind Big Bang in the first few episodes. But without Big Bang it will hit low 2s or high 1s just like S1 got anyway.
little-monster
31-10-2014
Wow Mom did brilliantly to be honest. I predicted about a 2.5 anyway so i was just two points off.

Reign aint doing that bad at the moment. If it keeps that up, a third season will happen.

Good start for The McCarthys

That 1.4 is not brilliant for Elementary if i am honest. But i think CBS will give it a fourth season regardless of whether the ratings get worse because next season will qualify it for syndication.

Mom really benefitted from The Big Bang Theory lead in, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep it there and stick The Millers on Mondays, good return for TAAHM while The McCarthys debuted okay but I wouldn't be surprised if The Odd Couple ends up replacing it at midseason.

Elementary didn't do great but I imagine its likely to be renewed and head to Fridays.

What do you mean? Is Mom not permanently in that time slot then?

A to Z and Bad Judge are cancelled. NBC said that they will remain in their slots though for the remainder of their 13 episode run.

Final ratings: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...d-down/322376/

CBS have some heavy downward adjustmemts, not good for The McCarthy's don't expect this to be around for long. Just dreadful for Elementary too, just a tenth higher than Parenthood for its premier! If it wasn't for syndication it would be toast, this will surely land on Sunday/Friday for a final season next year.
