Apart from Sport I watch absolutely nothing live anymore.

I was under the misconception that most people did the same. Sky+ it and watch it when you want but the last figures I saw said that only 15% of viewers did this.

Chicago PD officially enters the danger zone. Another show that has drastically seen a decline compared to it's first season.

Proud to be an Arrow fan this season, the quality and the ratings are very good! Thanks for the link little-monster, will now post a full write up.

CBS:
Survivor- 9.13m (2.3)
Criminal Minds- 9.63m (2.1)
Stalker- 7.28m (1.5)

ABC:
CMA Awards- 16.14m (4.5)

NBC:
Mysteries of Laura- 7.76m (1.2)
Law and Order SVU- 6.91M (1.6)
Chicago PD- 6.09m (1.3)

FOX:
Hells Kitchen- 3.62m (1.3)
Red Band Society- 2.87m (0.9)

CW:
Arrow- 2.62m (1.0)
The 100- 1.72m (0.6)

Great for the CW, would be great if The 100 stayed at that. Red Band is surely done? Ad woah, country music really is loved in the US!

Your welcome salv

FOX are being very stubborn regarding their cancellations for their scripted shows. Mulaney, Gracepoint and RBS should be announced as cancelled by now.

Not surprised really. Personally I like the show, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled. It has a good ensemble of cast members and the characters are not boring. But there is 'something' missing. There isn't anything in it to get hooked to watch it week in week out. There is no single narrative strand that runs through the show that holds it together.

It is clearly suffering in Chicago Fire's shadow.

Also about Madam Secretary. A 1.8 is pretty good for a show that doesn't have much going for it at the moment. I'm still waiting for the 'aha!' moment when thing begin to click and you know instinctively where it is going. It's not a flop, as you said in your previous post, but it doesn't have 'hit' slapped on it either. It feels like it is coasting on the good will of the viewers, neither boring but that exciting either. Very middle-of-the-road kind of drama.

I thought Chicago PD was boring. Nothing unique about it at all. Just another cop drama in my eyes.

That 1.8 is good but that was a sudden increase for the show, which has mainly earned 1.4/1.5 for a few episodes. Be curious to see if that 1.8 was a one off or if it will maintain that.

Bib: Hits the nail on the head.

Jeez, that's a really big jump for Madam Secretary. Nothing spectacular happened in the episode to warrant that, lol.

Highly likely to be a boost due to the Football overun, as for Chicago PD I still think it is safe as its on NBC but it can't afford to fall any more.

I haven't watched Madam Secretary but according to my friend who has watched three episodes...

"It's probably the most average show I've seen in my life". He says its not awful, but not great, it's just average. Not much happens, he just waits for something worthwhile happening, but it doesn't, but he feels it will.

Going by that, it doesn't interest me.

I like Madam Secretary, think it's quite an interesting show, with a good lead. Lack of gimmick is a good thing for me, even though there was a twist in the latest one.

Best US political show since The West Wing, IMHO.

Apart from Blackish, i am watching none of the new shows until a renewal. The new ones that are airing over here, im storing up on my virgin Plus. Just can't be wasting my time with what might be short lived shows that end with cliffhangers.

I've read average reviews about MS, but that's what i keep hearing about it. It's average. Not amazing but not awful.

You should be safe to watch How To Get Away With Murder no way is that getting cancelled, you can add Gotham, The Flash and Scorpion to that list too. In fact theres just NBC that seem to be struggling with returnable new series at all this season.

Blackish is brilliant... and I agree with what Philip said, Murder is fantastic and it won't get cancelled!

Wednesday finals.
Arrow, Laura and Chicago PD adjusted up, The 100, down.

CBS:
Survivor- 9.31m (2.3)
Criminal Minds- 9.78m (2.1)
Stalker- 7.34m (1.5)

ABC:
CMA Awards- 16.25m (4.5)

NBC:
Mysteries of Laura- 7.87m (1.3)
Law and Order SVU- 7.00m (1.6)
Chicago PD- 6.15m (1.4)

FOX:
Hells Kitchen- 3.62m (1.3)
Red Band Society- 2.88m (0.9)

CW:
Arrow- 2.73m (1.1)
The 100- 1.68m (0.5)

Incredible for Arrow. It deserves the brilliant ratings so much! So far this season... 1.0-0.8-0.9-1.0-1.1. It has grown since its 2nd episode! Oh no, The 100, with the downward adjustment and Arrow's upwards adjustment, it does not look very good.

That's great for Arrow it looked in for a poor run at first but they've clawed their way back, the 100 looks in trouble considering a 0.6ish wasn't good enough to save the Tomorrow People last year.

Honourable mention to Survivor as well, for a show that old its still second highest of the night!

The Tomorrow People was pulling 0.3s by the end of its run and its Wednesday low was a 0.4

Given that its limited commitment and gets good critical response I suspect The 100 is fine at a 0.5. It becomes more problematic if it drops lower though.

You’re right, to get the best idea of how many people watched a programme you really need to include all the on-demand/DVR viewers too, say within 7 days of original broadcast.
However to get the best idea of how many people watched the adverts within that programme you need to leave the on-demand/DVR viewers out of the total.
And seeing as its still the adverts where most of the money is made, that’s why the traditional rating system still remains so relevant to networks.

One of the main reasons sports and reality shows (such as The Voice etc) are loved by networks is because they get more people watching ‘live’ than most dramas or sitcoms.

David Tennant was on CBS’s The Late Late Show last night promoting Gracepoint so FOX are obviously still hoping to save it. Can’t see it happening though.

Because there are only 15 episodes for season 1, i may just binge it all in a weekend once the season finishes.

Mom is killing it

Didn't realise how low-ish Bones has gotten. Then again, it has been on the air for nearly decade.

I imagine the next season of Bones will be its last which considering it's been on the air for 10 years is pretty good going having outlasted other FOX shows like House.

I think CBS should keep Mom after TBBT rather than move back The Millers, Elementary's ratings are still awful, actually most of the CBS 10pm shows are not doing hot.
