The X Factor really is stinking out - surely Fox can't give it anymore chances after this season?

Michael J Fox's new show appears to have flopped - although it never had much of a chance surrounded by other flops.
Some are shocked by it, as Michael used to be the king of sitcoms back in the day.

TVWise reporting that FOX has cancelled Us & Them? Although their scripts have just been cut I believe it's a little early to assume that the show is cancelled, after all look at FOX's other show Breaking In which was renewed for a second season two years ago.

I think a lot of these networks need to get new focus groups, because there are some programs you hear about in pilot season that sound great & by the time you hear about the ones that have been picked up a lot sound dreadful & ultimately fail

In my opinion, all pilots should be aired on television and the ones with the best responses by critics, fans and also how well it does rating wise should be the ones picked up.

Exactly they could have pilot season after the season ends and leave the summer to create buzz about them, at least they would have less failure every september, october.

American's next top model ratings have really gone down. 90210 was getting the same ratings last year. Hopefully The CW will axe it.

yeah but I'd say its cheap to make & friday nights don't demand ratings like sun-thur.

For a show that is on it's 20th cycle, you can't expect it to be getting ratings like it used to.

Amazing start for American Horror Story: Coven. Launched with 5.58m. More than 3 million more than the previous series finale.

Not sure if I should post Saturday's ratings, it's always filled with only repeats and the odd sporting event.

Yes, best demo score of the night across all networks for Shark Tank (Dragons Den US for those who don't know!). But what makes it even more of a victory is that it’s so cheap to produce when compared to the ‘runners up’ of the night, Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five O. Both of which are now in their 4th seasons so their syndications deals are done, it’ll be interesting to see if they get 5th seasons… with these numbers it could go either way.

ANTM was once a big money-maker for UPN and even when CW launched, it used to be a top rater. However, the show became a parody for some time now and fans have been tuning off. It wasn't until Vogue Italia became one of the main prizes that it returned to being a modeling show, however, that was too little, too late. If Tyra still had her daytime talk show, ANTM would have been cancelled instead of being moved to Fridays to begin with. However, Tyra's gamble of making her talk show air nationally on The CW, like The View on ABC, didn't pay off (I heard the ratings were not enough to keep it going for the network). So, she is naturally stuck with ANTM. I'm not sure how many copies her "book" sold. Yes, she wrote a book and it's a teen novel.

Some things to note:

1. These rates were at pre-season prices and at estimate numbers. It would have changed over the course of weeks into the season.
2. These are just for shows premiering in fall this year. No midseason shows yet.

All shows can be seen at the link above, but some interesting prices:

DWTS (ABC) - $94,645 (they really discounted compared to previous seasons)
The Voice (NBC) - $254,575 (mon); $229,167 (tue)
Mom (CBS) - $138,575
Sleepy Hollow (FOX) - $139,120
The Blacklist (NBC) - $198,667
SHIELD (ABC) - $169,730
New Girl (FOX) - $231,570 (really?!?!?! )
Dads (FOX) - $120,100
Super Fun Night (ABC) - $130,823
Modern Family (ABC) - $257,435
X Factor (FOX) - $146,594 (wed); $112,675 (thu)
Survivor (CBS) - $115,717
TBBT (CBS) - $326,260
Parks & Recreation (NBC) - $82,000
Grey's Anatomy (ABC) - $206,075
Scandal (ABC) - $200,970
The Originals (CW) - $34,740
The Tomorrow People (CW) - $36,745
The Carrie Diaries (CW) - $19,333
ANTM (CW) - $29,685 (I can imagine how much less Nikita will be charging, when they take over the slot for their final run)
AFV (ABC) - $59,452 (That show must be either dirt cheap or YouTube must be their silent partner)
Once Upon a Time (ABC) - $141,480
Football (NBC) - $570,000 ()

Cancelled shows

Lucky 7 (ABC) - $86,355
We Are Men (CBS) - $99,520

Preliminary Demo Ratings for Sunday Night
Code:
ABC
Once Upon a Time	2.3
Revenge 1.7
Betrayal 0.9

CBS
Amazing Race 1.8
The Good Wife 1.2
The Mentalist 1.3

FOX
Baseball

NBC
Football
The Good Wife is excellent imho but it has always struggled against football on a sunday night. I think this may be its last year. Betrayal is dead, I expect it will be yanked very very soon.

I can imagine The Good Wife having just one more season to have more episodes for their syndication deals. The Mentalist looks pitiful, but will have to wait and see how the unscrambled numbers will look. Still, it is a far drop from a show which used to have around 18-20 million viewers in their prime, even if their demo wasn't as dominant (I think). Once Upon a Time is slowly dying and Revenge is a waste of a slot for ABC. Clearly, they should have been cancelled last season. Their ratings are crap now, so what makes them think they will do good in syndication (If they get it, but looks shaky)? Look at Community, their syndication numbers aren't good at all. Granted, we haven't seen Comedy Central numbers into the mix, but it still was bad and it would still be bad even if CC numbers were in. 0.4 in total household audience numbers is really bad.

Somehow i think those ratings are good enough for another season of Once upon a time. But i can see why it's ratings have decreased. The show hasn't been as good as season 1 where back then it was slow paced and allowed development, where as now, too much happens in each episode and it can be alot of a viewer to keep a hold on what the hell is goin on. They need to slow it down.

The Walking Dead is a complete phenomenon. The broadcast nets must be scratching their heads wondering why they can't produce dramas that get anywhere near those demos.

If it helps, reading over on one of the US media sites it sounds like Trophy Wife might get cancelled...

I just really really don't see the big appeal to the BBT? Like at all.
I love it, enjoying the new season. One of the things I love about it is the cast look like they're having fun, even so many years down the line, Kaley often looks like she's going to have a fit of giggles. And it appeals to the sci-fi geek I used to be,
