ABC have given a full season order to Cristela.

Im guessing Fresh Off the Boat will end up on Tuesdays. Cristela isn't great but it seems to be retaining most of LMS' audience.

CSI has lost yet another original cast member. If the show does get a 16th season, i can see an even further decline in the demo's and ratings.

I don't know about anyone else but i stopped watching when Gill left. Just wasn't the same. Him and Catherine was a brilliant duo. Like a forensic science version of Mulder and Scully.

According to early households overnights, State of Affairs dropped 33% compared to last week in total household numbers. Retention was only 65% from The Voice and it was below 39% from The Blacklist last year in that slot.

Bottom line, expect much lower ratings in 18-49 demo later today.

It is however worth mentioning that last nights numbers (across the board) will likely have been heavily disrupted by news coverage of events in Ferguson.

Well well worth mentioning, if demos and ratings are looking to be lower than usual

Although state of affairs's drop for the second episode is more than expected.

News coverage may potentially have inflated numbers across the night rather than deflated. The networks cut into regular programming at various points across the night last night it would seem.

Some cable ratings

The walking dead - 13.3 million - 7.0
Homeland - 1.7 million - 0.6
The Newsroom - 1.1 million - 0.5

Can never seem to find Getting On and The Comebacks's ratings but they are rating very very poorly based on the last 2 week's they aired. The problem with HBO bringing back The Comeback was there was no demand for it to comeback. There was never any petitions or campaigning when first cancelled. It was HBO who wanted it back. Not viewers. It is a shame as it is a brilliant and very funny show. But least HBO gave it a second chance.

Yep, I've heard that The Comeback has been doing poorly, I haven't seen it though.

The first episode of The Combeack had 300k viewers. That's just shy of where Looking started earlier this year. I'd imagine its only gone down since then though.

EDIT - Also worthy of note early signs are that the cable news networks (combined) look to have tripled their audience week-on-week last night. Not surprising really

Episode 2 managed 180k

Looking can be forgiven as it was given a second chance with another season. Plus it increased slowly over the season. This is the comeback's second chance and I think it's even lower rated now then it was 9 years ago.

Getting On is pretty much getting the same.

These half hour comedies are rating poor, if you compare that to the 800k that Girls manages. But as said before, HBO are fair to their low rated shows and normally pay attention to critical acclaim and awards. Enlightened being a prime example. But unless ratings suddenly pick up, it's fair but maybe early to say The Comeback and Getting on won't be seeing a third season at the moment. It's a shame as I think Getting on and The Comeback are very good. Incredibly well written and acted. But given fair chances.

Monday November 24

NOTE: All networks likely subject to larger than normal change come finals due to breaking news coverage of events in Ferguson. CBS also likely to suffer from a football preemption in New York

ABC
8PM: Dancing with the Stars – 2.4
10PM: Castle – 2.0

CBS
8PM: 2 Broke Girls – 2.2
8:30PM: The Big Bang Theory[r] – 2.0
9PM: Scorpion – 2.3
10PM: NCIS: LA – 1.5

Fox
8PM: Gotham – 2.3
9PM: Sleepy Hollow – 1.4

NBC
8PM: The Voice – 2.7
10PM: State of Affairs – 1.7

The CW
8PM: The Originals – 0.6
9PM: Jane The Virgin – 0.4

–

That Castle number will definitely go down in the finals. The first half hour looks like its massively inflated by a Dancing with the Stars overrun/news coverage (2.4 / 1.6 were its half hours).

Elsewhere State of Affairs not great but not a total collapse. Its half hours were a 1.9 / 1.6 so now basically in line with ABC and CBS' Monday 10PM offerings. That's a drop for the NBC average but not a disastrous one just yet. It'll no doubt get there and may very well get there in the finals. Although of course The Voice is a lot lower than it usually is which is likely a bigger point of concern for NBC right now.

Also just because they keep throwing them out there some 25-54 numbers from CBS

2 Broke Girl - 3.0
Big Bang Theory - 2.8
Scorpion - 3.1
NCIS: LA - 2.3
Salv*
25-11-2014
Monday early ratings:

CBS:
2 Broke Girls- 8.52m (2.2)
Big Bang Theory (r)- 7.82m (2.0)
Scorpion- 10.20m (2.3)
NCIS LA- 8.67m (1.5)

ABC:
DWTS- 14.80m (2.4)
Castle- (2.0)

NBC:
The Voice- 10.18m (2.7)
State of Affairs- 6.35m (1.7)

FOX:
Gotham- 6.00m (2.3)
Sleepy Hollow- 4.25m (1.4)

The CW:
The Originals- 1.27m (0.6)
Jane the Virgin- 1.05m (0.4)

By the way, there were huge drops for some shows between half hours... eg. Castle's first half hour was 2.4 and its 2nd was 1.6, averaging a 2.0. There will most likely be a lot of adjustments in the finals.

Don't take this personally or anything as I'm not having a go or anything but do you not read previous comments before posting?

You've just posted the exact same info that was posted 30 mins beforehand in the post directly above yours. I've noticed it a few times before

Yesterday you posted about constantine not getting a back 9 when it had been the discussion of the thread for the previous few posts above yours.

I enjoy reading your posts/thoughts but might be an idea to read the thread before posting to make sure it hasn't been posted/discussed yet.

Go 2 broke girls. Wooo. Although likely due to big bang rerun airing before.

Not a bad drop for State of affairs. Perfectly normally. I am curious to see how this show does do. Will be people be dropping out week by week because it's not a good show or because how Katherine heigl hardly hits high on popularity polls? Her career has been hanging by a thread for a few years and she needs this more than anything.

I was typing up the post and half way through it, I was called for dinner, ate it... wrote the second half and posted it, so I didn't see. When I initially started the post, the st post was about The Comeback.

And yesterday, I missed the back nine post. But to be fair, if something is repeated twice, does it matter? Sometimes people come onto the forum late and the first ratings post falls into the previous page, so it doesn't hurt to repeat.

Agreed its not bad at the moment but its likely going to get uglier in finals given that it (like everything at 10PM) likely ran past 11 last night in most of the country. Looking at the half hours I suspect Castle and State of Affairs may end up on similar ground to NCIS: LA which CBS already released fast 10:30-11:30 numbers for so should in theory be in for smaller adjustments, if any, come finals.

Salv is the only person on this thread that seems to post demo as well as the overall viewing numbers, something I'm interested in and appreciate massively. So if you look back at the "exact same info that was posted 30 mins beforehand" you will see that it's not actually the exact same.

Not sure about others I use the click newest post button which takes you to the 1st post since last visit, not just last page.

Dosn't matter of course to post things twice it just seems silly to clog up the thread with the same info being repeated over and over

sorry I hadn't noticed the viewing figures, not included in the earlier post, though they are irrelevant for renewal purposes including them makes sense of course.

Like I said I wasn't having a go or anything, it was just soemthing I had noticed happening regulalry and was generally wondering if they were reading the previous posts.

Nothing meant by it at all

I never use the "newest" button thing, to be fair, I didn't even notice it was there.

As for the finals... very ugly adjustments! Jesus, 2 Broke Girls down 6 tenths! SIX Scorpion, 4 tenths... NOT a good night for CBS.

Gotham and DWTS the only outright winners there IMO. Even The Voice hasn't been doing too well (usually does better in early stages).

Gotham is only 2 thenths from winning the entire NIGHT

Fox must be pleased with how the show has gone so far

CBS had a football preemption in the biggest market. Airing originals wasn't a great idea and we're seeing why. Just horrible numbers.

It was 4 tenths away from winning the entire night. Highest rated scripted show of the night though and by a considerable margin.
