and Empire, well the success still astounds me. I just query what season 2 will hold. Will the ratings be that high for season 2? We know how shows are high one season and low the next

Agreed. I mean, nowadays unless your the superbowl, Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, there's a limit on high a show can go. I honestly thought we would never see a non Big Bang, Superbowl, GoT or TWD show surpassing a 5.0, but it seems that Empire may do it.

The Slap (US version of the Aus series) started on NBC. Odd that I hadn't even heard that it was coming to the US, and it aired last night before The Blacklist. Doubt it would have done well.

I believe The Slap is a one off series. So whether it does well or not, it is meant to be just one season. Like the original. Plus it stars Uma Thurman who is a household name. Plus Thandie Newton, Melissa George and Zachary Quinto. So i am expecting a strong start.

The Blacklist once again showing that a Superbowl episode does sweet FA for your long term ratings. Shocked to see it under a 2.0 already, so much for it battling Scandal!

It's a bit annoying for Mom but hopefully it stays in the 2s in the new slot. I imagine The Odd Couple will debut well, but will it hold?

We will have to see

I bet NBC are annoyed. Two midseason shows are bombing. Alegiance and The Slap.

Such a shame for CBS to air the possible last ever episode of CSI against SNL, as well asThe Bachelor. Last night should have been full of repeats because a lot of shows were down A LOT. ABC did well IMO, held up well as an alternative to SNL. Baffles me how Funniest Videos can pull in numbers like that still.

Bib: Saw a trailer for that. Watched out for Kelly Brooks - not the world's natural actor, it must be said. As a comedy, didn't seem to come across as all that funny, tbh. Typical comedy that likes to force (or fake generate) the laughs. If the trailer can't tickle my funny bone or even make me curious enough to want to watch it, I don't have much hope of it being a hit, I'm afraid.

Very dumb of CBS to schedule CSI's finale against SNL. Could they have not delayed it for a week?

This is seriously getting ridiculous for Empire! It is HUGE. I never thought we'd ever get a drama on the non cable channels to get in the 5s ever again (and the only other shows getting that on cable is TWD and Game of Thrones is it not?). Just massive!

Arrow is doing incredibly this season, The Flash crossover really did help it all those weeks ago! I mean, considering it premiered in Oct 2012 with a 1.3 and in Feb 2015 it has gotten two 1.2s (and a 1.1 last week) is nothing short of incredible.

NBC continues to bomb with The Slap and Alegiance. None of their new shows have done well. This could help for the likes of Constantine and Laura.

Wow, that was a good a prediction wasn't it? I got Men spot on and only one tenth out for The Odd Couple. Great for CBS in general as well as ABC as always.

On a sad note and NBC. Writer, exec producer and actor of Parks and Recreation, Harris Wittels has died at the young age of 30. Overdose it seems

Fantastic for CBS and ABC, half of the entire schedule last night was in there 2s or above. Awful for FOX's Backstrom, it's funny how Empire and Backstrom should be compared as they both follow Idol. One gets 5.2 and the other gets 0.9

I think if Odd Couple is very likely to be renewed but obviously that depends on both how it fares in the coming weeks.
