I see. It's just that what I've read suggested this episode was the season finale. I got the wrong end of the stick.

Must have been a no brainer after seeing it grow each week. I never thought Fox would have the breakout drama this season. I thought one of the Shonda Rhimes series would have taken that title.
Well ABC have done well with How to get away with Murder. While Murder's demos are slightly lower than Empire's, it has been ABC's breakout hit.

CBS have also had big success with Scorpion
The CW have had The Flash
NBC have had zilch.

Modest start for American Crime, while The Odd Couple reaches a demo of 3.0. Looks like Matthew Perry might have finally found a hit show after all.

Empire is like the broadcast version of The Walking Dead in that it won't stop growing. If FOX treats it well, it could end up doing 20m+

The Odd Couple is a shoo in for season 2 renewal, the fact it's CBS helps a lot.

Good point. There have been some other successes. Can we add Gotham to that list?

Good for The Odd Couple but I want to see how it does after two months to decide if it is a hit. And NBC should move The Blacklist back to Mondays as it has dropped like a stone on Thursdays.

Oops i forgot about Gotham

True, we should wait a bit longer before labelling it a hit. But considering how many comedies have bombed this television season, The odd couple is delivering really well at this current moment.

Next Season comedy line-up at ABC is fascinating.

The Middle is fading but doing a job as an anchor
The Goldbergs has the makings of an anchor
Modern Family fading but still big
Black-ish a hit but it has had a lot of help
Fresh Off The Boat has performed really well with little help

I would go for...

Tuesdays 8 The Middle 8.30 Black-Ish
Wednesday 8 The Goldbergs 8.30 Fresh Off The Boat 9.00 Modern Family 9.30 Most Promising New Comedy

It would be a ballsy move though as The Middle and Black-Ish would take hits but I think the timeslots average would be up.

That's good for The Odd Couple and Mom. Big Bang is rising again too.

AC was lower than I expected.

Will post the finals later on or tomorrow.

Thursday finals:

CBS:
The Big Bang Theory- 18.17m (4.8)
The Odd Couple- 12.36m (3.0)
The Big Bang Theory (R)- 10.54m (2.4)
Mom- 9.67m (2.2)
Elementary- 7.67m (1.3)

ABC:
Greys Anatomy- 8.09m (2.4)
Scandal- 9.57m (3.0)
American Crime- 8.37m (2.0)

NBC:
The Slap= 3.92m (0.8)
The Blacklist- 8.28m (1.8)
Allegience- 3.28m (0.8)

FOX:
American Idol- 9.41m (2.2)

CBS did very well. Scandal down but great as always. Greys to pull in mid 2s after so many years is nothing short than amazing.

Even worse this week for Wife and Secretary. and to think CBS gave Secretary an early renewal. Battle Creek descends further. Last Man decreases a little bit, as does secrets and lies.

The Following hits a series low. The show lost half it's audience last season, and it's even descending lower now.The Night Shift seems to be retaining it's audience. Not bad for a show that was originally a summer one. I think NBC may be striking gold with it, especially as they have had too many flops this season.

Sunday adjustments. LMOE, Family Guy, B99, Bobs Burgers and Revenge all adjusted up.

FOX:
Bobs Burgers- 2.56m (1.2)
Brooklyn Nine Nine- 3.11m (1.5)
Family Guy- 3.98m (2.1)
Last Man on Earth- 4.35m (1.9)

ABC:
Revenge- 4.89m (1.1)

Good for LMOE still! Daylights Saving Time has started so expect a lot of lower ratings, but a FOX held up well considering that!

Monday earlies in full:

CBS:
2 Broke Girls- 8.31m (2.0)
Mike and Molly- 8.78m (2.0)
Scorpion- 10.43m (2.0)
NCIS LA- 10.47m (1.7)

ABC:
The Bachelor Final- 9.50m (2.7)
The Bachelor After the Final Rose- 9.66m (2.7)

NBC:
The Voice- 13.52m (3.6)
The Night Shift- 5.80m (1.4)

FOX:
The Following- 3.45m (1.1)

The CW:
The Originals- 1.36m (0.5)
Jane the Virgin- 1.29m (0.5)

Extremely stable for CBS there. They are always very consistent on Monday. CW return down but still good for JTV. The Voice is doing great too

Monday finals. The Voice, The Bachelor, 2 Broke Girls, NCIS LA and Mike and Molly adjusted up. The Night Shift down.

NBC:
The Voice- 13.95m (3.8)
The Night Shift- 5.45m (1.3)

ABC:
The Bachelor- 9.68m (2.8)

CBS:
2 Broke Girls- 8.25m (2.1)
Mike and Molly- 8.80m (2.1)
NCIS LA- 10.72m (1.8)

That retention for TNS out of The Voice is dreadful. If they don't want to axe TNS, they need to move it because it was very consistent in its first year away from lead ins, and did fine in the summer. But it just doesn't click in the normal schedule. Just like summer shows eg. Teen Wolf, these sort of shows should stay put in the summer. Teen Wolf for example is currently MTVs flagship, but if they put it on during these months, it'd be slaughtered.

The Bachelor continues its dominance, it does very well in the young demos, something that older skewing DWTS can't really say they can do (which is returning). CBS had a good consistent night with NCIS LA the standout of the night. A 1.8 at 10pm on currently struggling for young demo CBS is very good.

Oh dear, looks like Daylights Saving Time has damaged a lot of shows. FOTB sucks for them as DST affects 8pm shows more than any other slot!

CBS:
NCIS- 15.72m (2.1)
NCIS NO- 12.25m (1.6)
Person of Interest- 8.50m (1.4)

ABC:
Fresh Off The Boat- 5.06m (1.5)
Repeat After Me- 3.50m (1.1)
Agents of SHIELD- 3.73m (1.4)
Forever (R)- 3.02m (0.7)

NBC:
The Voice- 13.26m (3.6)
Chicago Fire- 8.56m (2.1)

FOX:
Hells Kitchen- 3.45m (1.3)
New Girl (R)- 1.50m (0.7)
The Mindy Project- 1.79m (0.9)

The CW:
The Flash (R)- 1.31m (0.4)
Supernatural (R)- 790,000 (0.3)

FOTB seems to be taking a slow tumble.
It's still well above expectations. Before the series, I was hearing that the expectation was in the low 1s as it was in such a tough slot (one that usually flops) and was up against big shows. A 1.6 is great for ABC 8pm on Tuesday, and with it being Daylight Savings Time, it's even better. In a better slot away from The Voice it'd be easily channelling The Goldbergs 2.5ish demos. Worth mentioning that FOTB is doing on average around a couple of tenths better than The Goldbergs was doing last year before it was moved to a better slot. So in theory, it WILL be renewed as it is the bright spot on Tuesday and because TG was when it was doing worse last year.

As for yesterdays ratings, according to household ratings, Empire grew for the 9th week in a row, if this translates in the actual ratings (and don't hold me to this), but I THINK Empire has made history as I hear no other US scripted show in history has grown for 9 weeks. Also I reckon it hit the 6.0 demo last night (it got 5.8 last week, the first episode got 3.8!)

Ah household demos rising must have been not among the most important (young people), so Empire finally stops growing! Still incredible though. Surprised CSI Cyber actually stayed the same as it's premiere.

Not good for The 100 season final, tied series low?

Phenomenal! Could it git a 6.0 next week? Makes me wonder, I know FOX doesn't really do original programming at 10pm, but next year, they should try and launch a new show after Empire. I mean even if it retains just under half of Empire's ratings (which would make it 2.5-2.8), that is still a huge hit compared to FOX in general.

The clocks have gone back in America so it might have an impact. But I really wouldn't be surprised to see Empire climb again for the finale and get a 6.0 and 15m.

Without sounding negative, i don't reckon the show will be pulling in these demos come next season. Just a feeling. Just seen it so many times. The higher the demos a show has from the start, the earlier they will fall from grace. Audience are so quick to drop something at the drop of a hat.
