I've not watched hardly any live shows for around 3 years now. my interest wanes after the auditions/judges houses, especially as I can't stand the inevitable xfactor bingo that will kick off on the weekend: you're like a young jimmy nail / Donny Osmond / marvin gaye, you made that song blah.

will anyone stop watching from here on and if so why?

No I will actually start watching from the lives.

I have kept a toe in and watched the auditions, fast forwarding the hyperbole and watching the funny crap ones. But its the live shows that are potentially more interesting as they are live so people can go off script. Everything leading up is so heavy handed and directed that you can watch on mute and know exactly what has been sung/said :P

Yet you create more threads about X-factor than any avid viewer. Boggles the mind...

As for the OP. I don't switch of, I know what to expect and what else would I do if I couldn't spout off in the forum.

Used to love X Factor, I went to a live show the year Alexandra Burke won it. Last decent one imo...all went downhill when the rent a mob/crowd auditions came in.

now that XF has introduced their selected cast of characters, it's time to watch it as a variation of a whodunnit: who'll-win-it? but instead of reading like a straightforward novel, it's more like a choose-your-own-adventure where the audience (voters) has some say but ultimately Plans A, B and C are already plotted and contingencies put in place to steer the ultimate outcome to what is acceptable to TPTB...

The total opposite for me. It doesn't get interesting until the live shows

My 2 favourite acts have fallen already. Relley and Zoe.

I'm not just being sour but possibly with the exception of Abi, there is not a lot of interest for me. I am sure I will keep up on whats going on, but I am also pretty sure that I will not be glued to my seat every Sat and Sun nights.

It is odd.

@the repliers to my comment: My comment was simply in acknowledgement of your reluctance to watch. I don't understand the big deal...you come onto a show's forum, criticize the show and expect fans to share why they wouldn't want to watch anymore?

I like Hannah, Tamera, Abi, Sam B, Rough Copy and Miss Dynamix. So will keep on watching. Will be gutted if Hannah gets kicked out early though.

No, I actually enjoy watching the lives, finding out who will surprise me, keeping an open mind about all 12 finalists, just hoping a couple will blow it out of the water.

The good thing about the lives is you actually get to hear some, you know actual singing!

I find it so frustrating in earlier stages how little singing you get to hear compared to VT footage, sob stories etc. They've even starting cutting into judges houses performances now so we can hear them talking instead!

So yeah, looking forward to the lives. Would have been so much better if Paul had been there though.

I like in order: Sam C, Tamera, Abi, Nicholas, Sam B.
Not bothered about the rest though.

Boot camp and judges houses are the most boring/predictable parts for me. I usually start getting interested when the live shows kick off.

Probably. Not by choice though. I keep getting work hours during the show... Though having said that I can actually see myself losing interest pretty quickly during the lives. I'm the least excited I've been in years.

The total opposite for me. The Live's are where it all starts IMO. I cant start the sob stories/bad singers of the audition rounds etc

The problem I find is that I can usually guess who is going to get through to the live shows when it gets to boot camp/judges houses just because it's obvious who the producers have favoured from the auditions etc, so watching everyone else feels like "filler". I didn't like the boot camp twist this year either. When I saw who the final 12 were, I guessed that most of them would be there. The only surprise for me is there isn't a standout "joke" act this year.

It gets more interesting for me when the public start voting, as we start to see who the general public are really favouring. Of course, the producers still manipulate things but it becomes more of an interesting competition when we find out who the public like as well.

I love Miss Dynamix and Rough Copy, Tamera is tolerable too. The others are just awful...
