Khaya Cohen (XF USA) is amazing!!
This was absolutely amazing:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaoNUu4D488 I hate it that her first audition was rated so badly when all she was doing was singing for her life. This showed those people that she can control her voice and sing incredibly well. Breathtaking. It's so unfair Demi's mentoring the girls: she's going to single-handedly destroy Danie and Khaya. Both are amazing but Demi's going to mess it up. Why couldn't Kelly or Simon mentor them? ![]() ![]()

To be honest I liked more Simone Torres but she kinda messed up in the 4CC. In the other hand I was impressed by Khaya.

I actually think the girl who sang 'Clarity' and the older woman (Lilly i think?) are easily ahead of anyone else.

She's still not one of my favourites, but she was much better in bootcamp than her first audition (which I thought was a mess). I think she's the weak link of the girls though.

I'm concerned she's setting up be first out in her group on the next show, though. First to sing of the girls to go through and Danie's getting the girl next door edit she needs. Ellona's got the stage presence/look and a pretty good if raw voice and Rion should be a ratings magnet; those two are the clear alphas. Khaya on the other hand has got a very good voice that doesn't quite hit goosebumps territory - yet - and little obvious star power. Dangerous combo.
If I'm trying to figure out how to make her commercial, do you think she'd make a nice anchor for a girl group doing the average looks, great voices thing like LM? She comes across as intelligent and open which I think are the important ingredients. Goodness knows I don't think Cowell's frankengirlband this year worked. |

Khaya and Danie are my favourites. I really loved Danie the minute from her audition, but it took until the four seat challenge for me to appreciate Khaya. I really want both to say in lives but is hard when you have a country singer in Rion and someone who is going to do uptempo and dance in Elona.

What really annoys me is that Demi is mentoring the girls AGAIN. Hasn't Simon realised Demi is a terrible mentor? She's already had a chance and she did really badly with her last lot. The girls category this year was the strongest and it's just annoying that they're going to be screwed over by Demi.
