Or after James V Ella is it a way to stop this from actually happening

I don't really understand the flash vote. So there's only ten minutes to vote? Then we know the bottom two on the Saturday night? Surely that means the show is going to lose loads of the money from votes unless I have this completely wrong. Could lose viewers from the Sunday show if they know their favourite is already safe.

i'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I gather that the lowest act in the flash vote goes automatically into the elimination and then whoever is lowest of the other 11 in the normal 24 hour voting will join them

Ok thanks, that's what I thought to begin with then read somewhere else the bottom 2 were revealed on the Saturday, but that article was possibly wrong. I wish they just left the voting as it was, but at least there will still be something to be revealed on the Sunday. I'm assuming if it goes to deadlock that''s where Simon and his satellite link comes in.

what I am guessing at there tho is that the person who is bottom of the flash vote will then be removed from the voting options for the overnight vote

that will lose a percentage of the voting income as the show goes on as that person's fanbase wouldn't then use the phone vote I assume

or do all the acts stay in the overnight vote and if you come bottom of the flash vote AND the overnight vote there is no sing-off and you are gone

If the person bottom of the flash vote (Act A) stays in the overnight vote - what happens if they pick up on the voting and overtake two others They are no longer bottom two and the Saturday vote reveal would be null and void Unless that could be a new twist Dermot announces on the Sunday that Act A is now safe and we have a new bottom two

Personally I think the sing off will be Act A (bottom Saturday) and Act B (bottom after the overnight vote)

I'm guessing they think that the flash vote will increase the vote for that 10 minute period for ALL of the acts. Which could outweigh the act in 12th place staying open for 24 hours

its only just the 12th act on week one tho , as the competition goes on the numbers reduce and u will end up with acts who have a "big" following in this position

Yep I know

I think its a stupid idea, but i'm guessing they think that monies will be created by people madly voting for 10 minutes to save their favourites from the initial bottom 2 slot.
