I like Natalie and Sophie will my head explode?
It seems to me that fan wars have already arrived in week 2
![]() What about those of us who like both, where will we fit in ? I like Natalie I don't care she has experience and I love it that she is loud, confident and is producing wonderful dancing, it is lovely to see Artem so happy and at peace with the world producing the sublime choreography the does so well. I love Sophie that Chalreston was great and I love it that she pulled it out of the bag unexpectedly when everyone was saying it really would not suit her. So far that is what being said about her Samba but what I saw on ITT was the suppleness required for the Latin. People seem to equate quiet with dull, without noticing one of the dirtiest laughs I have heard for a while. I want both of them to do well. |

Oh my God! How could you? Do you not understand the first thing about a proper fan war? You can't like them all.
Especially if they're good! Now go and sit in a darkened room watching Anton from the weekend on loop until you sort yourself out.

I like them both too but hell I've been here before imagine how difficult it was liking Austin and Lisa hell this won't come close to that painful conflict of interests

I like 'em both as well - expecting to have to retire to a padded cell for the remainder of Strictly having fierce arguments with myself

So it's not just me then - oh the relief!
Where's Dr Pammie when we need her? ![]() In the meantime I'm re-watching Mark and Iveta's salsa - it makes me very very happy!

But we are only on week 2 ? Apparently so many people find themselves only able to support one or the other by saying, but I can't sat and the other .

![]() I really like both Natalie and Sophie too by the way ![]() They're subtle at the moment. You have to correlate who is being positive about Natalie and negative about Sophie and vice versa. (The Natalie is boring and Sophie and Brendan charleston thread will help you on your quest ![]() )

I don't like Natalie. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike her - I'm sure she's very good, she just doesn't do anything for me. Before the show started, I expected to dislike Sophie, but after the Charleston i'm starting to worry that another couple of performances like that will turn me into a fan. Will try to stay out of the fan wars...
TBH, the one I wanted to and expected to like before the show started was Rachel (the world needs more cute math geeks ), but that's not working out very well so far, sadly.

I think it will be a wider battle than that. I think the Natalie v Sophie v Abbey v Susannah battles are going to be pretty epic once we're in the last half of the series, and add lots of accusations of Ashley and Ben being bland and boring if they start looking like contenders. I suspect there won't be many that can say they like all six equally. But I agree that Natalie and Sophie look like the strongest competition for each other - as things stand now.
Personally, at the moment as long as Mark is doing well and Dave seems to be enjoying himself, I'm quite happy to like everyone and enjoy all the good dancing. They are the two I really care about so far, and I'm more focussed on Mark staying for a few weeks than who is going to win. But they aren't likely to stay. I will need to get invested in one of the ones that stay till the end or - and this is irrational and a bit horrible, I know - I won't really enjoy it as much as some other years. Not because I want to dislike any of them, but because I do want to really like one. It's like one couple become my 'team'. So while I know in theory the fan wars are ridiculous, I will probably be in the middle of them in two or three weeks time. Or I won't really enjoy the series as much. That seems like a terrible thing to admit!

Atta girl Amrywiol add Rachel in the mix and we could have a 3 way fan wars
![]() I know, she was to be the big surprise of this year and everyone expected great things of her despite her saying I am just a geek , well it seems geeks can't dance and Pasha looked exasperated too on ITT |

Fortunately my bewilderment has been somewhat assuaged by the fact that I haven't seen any love for Julien and/or Vanessa. |

You are correct though so far Juiien and Vanesa have proved to be almost universally unloved on the board and I was prepared to like Vanessa if she had come out and tried to learn to dance but she has learnt to pose so far, I would not have mine dead if she were bad I just wanted effort |

I like them both though they bring such different qualities to the dance floor. However, I have to admit I find Sophie a bit more intriguing at the moment. I guess it's because, while you can be almost 100% certain Natalie will perform well, Sophie has the element of surprise in her favour and I find myself rooting for her more because I really want her to keep confounding expectations.
