X Factor launches in-app voting
Quote:
One small step for mankind – The X Factor is launching in-app voting! So guess what? We have some exciting news for you (because we're great like that). As you'll know (unless you've been stationed under a rock), The X Factor will be going LIVE from Saturday 12 October - which means it will be up to YOU to keep your favourite act in the show. And this year, we’re making it easier than ever to cast your vote. At the end of Saturday’s show, for the first time ever you will be able vote through The X Factor app (iOS only) in addition to dialling the usual phone numbers. Voting in the app will be available when Dermot re-opens the vote at the very end of Saturday's show to determine who the second contestant in Sunday’s sing-off will be. To prepare, all you need to do is open the latest version of the official X Factor app on your smartphone or tablet and go to the voting section. Using your iTunes account you can then purchase two votes for 69p or a 'super vote' bundle of 6 votes for £1.99. Then all you need to do is place your votes when voting is open. And if for some reason you don’t use those votes, don’t worry because they can still be used on later shows. If you can’t see or access the voting section in the app, check it has been updated to the latest version and close/re-open the app. Of course, this is all in addition to the usual landline and voice shortcode numbers. Users of the Android version of The X Factor app will have direct links to all those numbers so that voting for your favourite act will be never more than 2 taps away. So get involved! Your acts need your vote - more so this year than ever before (but that's a whole other story) Still nothing about using app voting to resolve a deadlock though, which is very disappointing |

They did a similar thing with the Britain's Got Talent live shows last year. They ditched it after the first night because of technical difficulties.

Yeah right who cares?
I'd be more impressed if they brought back Paul. Unless they do I won't be voting whichever way.

Yet another post by you without understanding the facts, your making quite a habit of embarrassing yourself, the app will not play ANY PART whatsoever in the flash vote as you originally opened a thread about (i can bump it back up again incase you need to re-read) |
