No Corrie tonight, due to the footy.
The next episode (hour-long) is on Sunday at 7pm. |

Cue 5 page Football vs. Soaps thread where people just state their opinion over and over again
![]() I don't even like football, but soaps don't get made without the advertising revenue that it brings in. |

England will be alright now they're managed by that owl-faced Hodgson fella.
The owl usually thinks 0-0 is a great result. |

So a soap getting 9 million plus viewers is shifted for a football match which might get half that . If it's lucky.
Why can't they show the football on ITV2, 3 or 4? |

There is a charity fundraising programme on tonight in Scotland. It's our own wee version of children in need/red nose day

I don't know what's wrong with you ungrateful buggers on here.
What would you rather see on your telly, the Owl sweating & wriggling about on the bench whilst Ingurluund are struggling, or Carla Connor trotting about in a ridiculously tight-fitting frock? ITV have called this one spot on haven't they? |

Agreed. I'm fed up of the TV schedulers, whether it is ITV, BBC or whatever, pandering to sports fans and shifting regular programmes around to make way for football, snooker, tennis etc. There are more than enough empty digital channels on Freeview - why can't they put the sport on those instead?
Why should Sports fans have to be put to one side for people that don't like sport ? and by the way, most sport on ITV IS on a digital channel. ITV 4 has most of the sport so i don't know what you are complaining about really. Football is on once a fortnight on ITV, tough luck if you don't like it because millions of people do. |
