Sitting plum bottom of the leaderboard & clearly not the best of dancers, Dave really needs YOUR vote this week!
Either that or Julien or even Vanessa could survive!

Vote Dave.

I'm sure Vanessa won't mind if I give Dave a vote.

I don't think we need to worry about Dave getting votes - he is just the kind of contestant the GBP take to their hearts at this stage of the game.

(But I'll still be chucking a few votes his way!)

Is there a leaderboard at this point before the show?

No.

He'll last a while longer because the GBP will keep him in for his ability to amuse them. And then, like all the comedy contestants, he'll have to give way to those who can dance.

The judges votes are all rigged anyway.

Why? Because they don't rate Dave as highly as you? That assessment isn't just confined to the judges.

Que? What? I don't rate Dave at all. Whatever gave you that idea? How daft! I am suffering watching him, but realise that some people love a clown.

No, since you ask - the judges voting is so random it is clearly affected by the producers' wish to promotes some over others.

Susanna is getting high scores but dances like a shire horse. We can all see how daft their votes are

He is a likeable person for sure but a terrible dancer. I wouldn't want him to stay at the expense of other better dancers.

If he does end up at the bottom of the leaderboard tonight, you can be reassured he is safe. My vote will goes to those who may not score that highly, but show the most potential.

Probably

I think it's fair enough to keep him up to a certain point - like Michael Vaughan, he's likeable, tries hard and works well with his pro, which provides good footage in the training room as well as feel-good/laugh-along performances.

I'm sure he's well aware that his time will come and will be gracious in admitting that others need to go through.

I totally agree that the judges' votes are rigged, and I would be interested to know just how much the competition is manipulated. (answer = A LOT, the editing of the VTs, the choice of costumes, everything is calculated; I'd love to be a fly on the wall though, to see how openly it's discussed and how overt a strategy they have. Do they try and get a particular winner from the start, do they go with the flow and keep making adjustments each week?)

If he stops stomping around and starts to actually dance (or at least try to) then he will warrant votes.

My guess is that Dave is safe for a few weeks yet. He can't dance but he has an outgoing and ambient comic personality which I think will appeal to voters.

Absolutely. I would also love to be in on one of the SCD Prod 'strategy' meetings (BIB)

I'm so excited about Dave's paso... I'm hoping for an 'it's so bad it's good' dance in the same way that Michael Vaughn's was

if dave dances, he might get a vote from me.

if he doesn't then there are people i prefer to stay a bit longer, if not much, including vanessa.

I'll be voting for the haory dancers.

Lionel Blair summed up a basic flaw in Dave's 'dancing'. Namely that he walks into his steps rather than moves into them, thus dancing. This is what exaggerates the stompiness and the paso doble is a really bad dance choice/draw for someone who stomps. *sighs*

Now we have online voting I will be throwing a few votes Dave's way. If someone else dances brilliantly and is entertaining and has a likeable personality then I will vote for them too.

Well vote to keep him in! He really needs votes this week after a bit of a dancefloor disaster. Julien to go.

Tip - if you want to vote more than 5 times just register again with another username. You don't need to use an extra email address so it is incredibly easy to do.
