He annoys me a bit with his 'disgusted, angry' looks when the judges criticise him. He clearly can't take any criticism at all. A pity, because his dance, though dreadful, was entertaining. But he's lost my vote, with the sulking.

I don't see it like that. I see him as someone who wears his heart on his sleeve and can't hide that he's upset if someone makes a nasty comment.

I'm sure Dave will be safe for a few weeks yet. I voted for him, on the grounds that he did entertain me - to the extent that I cried with laughter at that bonkers paso. Strictly is less a dancing competition than a pantomime, and I love his enthusiasm, misguided though it might be.

In any case, I want to see more of Karen Hauer, who is like a completely different woman this series. She has produced some fine choreography, which accentuates Dave's comedic persona without disrespecting the dance itself.

There are quite a few other celebs who I'd like to see leave before Dave hangs up his dancing shoes.

You could well be right. Anyway he needs to stop doing it if he stays in.

I think Dave could turn out to be a ballroom boy more, more controlled. I think he is improving and trying, and entertaining, that's good enough for me

I sent 10 votes his way, I'm sure he'll be in for a while yet.

Well done, you are a star Mrs F

He puts on the same face when bantering with Si. It's part of the act.

The judges rated Dave lower than Julien so if there''s a dance off between them and the juges stick to their voting preference it'll be Cheery Biker Dave on his bike. :

What I like about Dave and Karen is how Karen actually lets him dance - he isn't great at it, but it is better than him being used as a maypole while the female pro dances around him, as some other female pros resort to when they have weak male celebs. I think they are great! I voted for him online.

Haven't prayed for years but I'm putting my palms together for Dave .

This guy is the worst person I have had the misfortune to watch in all of Strictly. He is complete and utter rubbish just like his fake cooking shows with that other fake guy on the bike.

I love Dave, he's nobody's fool but he has a gentle, naive quality that I find very endearing (that was missing in last year's comedy/peeeeeple's contenstant). His partnership with Karen is a joy to watch

I've realised where he got the inspiration for his Paso face - from another part of Meatloaf's oeuvre, Bat Out of Hell

I won't get into a debate about who was the worst ever dancer on SCD*, at least not until I've had a chance to refresh my memory via Wikipedia. But I'm sure it's not Dave!

I concede his technique is pretty awful, but he does at least try and is clearly enjoying himself - both of these things do a lot to counter his technique.

*But Quentin Wilson, David Dickinson, Fiona Phillips, Kate Garraway, Gary Rhodes, Nicholas Owen, Edwina Currie and Ann Widdecombe all spring to mind as contenders who deserve that particular label far more than Dave.

Dave doesn't need votes, he needs to go. Sorry but I don't even know what he is doing there.

In time maybe - but will any of us live that long.

Actually Mrs F I think this says more about you than him. It seems you are a glass half full sort of person and your belief in the ability of human perseverance and Dave's ability to improve does you credit. Hat off to you.
