Totally agree. Tired of people saying they 'do so well for a band that plays live.' Que? Repeating the same old numbers year after year, with a few added attempts at murdering new chart hits? Singers better this year. Band still forgettable

Howe long have they had this gig? Yep, years - and they are still the dodgiest band in town

I've just said on the Spoiler thread that I think Len's marking is now so bad that it's making a mockery of the show.

He needs to learn that the scale is 1-10, not 5-10.

He also needs to retire if he thinks Julien was worth a 7. Mind you, how Julien got off with such lenient comments all round was beyond me. He barely got a step right.

It's one thing to be encouraging, but he's overstepped the line so far that he makes the whole thing look ridiculous and delusional.

Yes he has lost any credibility and no Juiens dance was not worth a 7 apparently 43 percent of all the marks from all the judges were 7s last night with that sort of bunching stupid decisions are being made.

Len lost his walnuts the day he gave John Barnes a 10 for his Salsa.

But yes, he was WAY off with his marking last night. Abbey better than Ashley? Julian only two points less than Natalie? I don't think so.

Len can't now seem to differentiate between dancing well and "having a go". All this "at least you went out there and gave it a go" - well what else are they going to do - suddenly get to the top of stairs and say "I'm not doing it this week"?

So if someone dances well he gives them a 7, but if someone dances rubbish but throws a bit of energy and a smiley face in he gives them 7 as well.

I know the three men now work their screen personas to the limit - horrid Craig, nice Uncle Len, batty Bruno, but for me Craig is the best judge - he usually says what I'm thinking. A bit harsh sometimes but better than giving a rubbish dancer false hope!

That 7 score paddle is stuck to him.
Why can't he pick up a three or 4 when it's due (which it has been this year) imo.

Love the title of the thread! I do think that Len can give false hope at times with his sometimes over enthusiastic praise (although I was astonished that he actually marked lower than Craig last night), but I think he's entertaining. At least we have Craig (and at times Darcy) to give honest opinions and constructive criticism. I liked how Darcy demonstrated to Vanessa how she should use her neck, but for once thought Craig went a bit far and could have been a bit easier on her.

I think the only judge that scores properly is Craig. The other three judges are the reason there are so many ties on the leaderboard because they give everyone the same scores.

I few the quality of the band and the singers is one of the highlights of the show - puts X Factor to shame wth live singing and no autotuning

One of the (only) saving graces of Dancing on Ice was that at least they scored with honesty. I don't understand why SCD can't take the same attitude.

I think it would be good for the dancers, too, to see themselves genuinely progress through the series.

Out of interest, anyone think Natalie's rumba would have had 10's if it had been later in the series?

Yep!

Lens scoring is ridiculous but Darcey also needs to learn to use lower than five aswell.

Too right, Len's marking has been off for years. Hopefully he and Bruce will retire at the end of this series...

Matt Di Angelo tried doing that once...
