Were the judges watching the same dance as me? I thought she was vey heavy footed giving a .leaden look to her dance. She totally lacked grace and I didn't enjoy it at all. Is it because she works at the BBC? Bizarre

I have to agree. Then to mark Natlie and Artem with the same score was ridiculous.

I loved it sorry.

no, i agree she was over marked, and so was sophie. both dances were competent but unremarkable.

Susannah wasn't as good as Natalie - but then, Natalie was sublime! - however I thought Susannah was astonishingly good, really graceful and lyrical, lovely extensions, used her body perfectly. She's AMAZING for someone who hasn't danced before! Love her - well deserved, Susannah!

Agree, pleasant dance but marked generously.

Susanna danced what she was given well but the choreography was so boring and it was soooooo slow. It had none of the amazing spinning that defines a VW. It did have a fleckerl though. Get me sounding like I know what I'm talking about.

Firstly, a disclaimer - I don't like Susanna. She was good for early on in the comp - not great though. Her shoulder was practically in her chin and I felt it wasn't fast enough, and not enough rotations. When I think of some of the classic Strictly VWs, that was not one of them. Totally overmarked. I think that the judges are marking up so that the disparity between Nathalie and the rest won't be so obvious - a.nd she won't get booted out by a backlash or complacency

That's the word I was looking for - rotations. Thank you.

I somewhat agree.

Overall I don't think it was worth a 9 but it was a lot better than some stuff they marked 7 or 8 that it sort of fits.

It's the place on the leaderboard that matters more than the scores & I think it was about right this week

I really liked Susanna's dance, but I agree that it was overmarked. But then so were a lot of other dances - Sophie's samba for example.

The problem is when they start giving the 'sort of ok' celebs 7s and 8s, they then have to give anyone who is better 9s. At this stage, I think 5s, 6s & 7s would be more accurate.

Even so, I think the leaderboard ended up about accurate.

I agree, to me it was a stunning dance but my niece thought Dave was the best.
I think the best dance depends on what you are looking for.

Well to be fair, everyone was overmarked tonight ! I'm not warming up to her for some reasons no matter how much I try. I like Kevin though.

It was a good VW, and she is definitely improving to become a contender, but not worth a 9.

Indeed it's the leader board that counts. But some people are just

I thought it was quite a good VW and certainly the best dance of the night at that point. It is relative placing on the leaderboard that matters rather than individual scores so I can't get too excited about the absolute number so long as the position relative to other dancers is right which, in this case, it is.
