Demonstrative Darcey

I love it when she gets up and shows a dancer what to do. She is very sinuous. She looked fantastic and very pretty tonight. Her hair and make-up really suited her, which previously was not always the case.

I find her the best judge.

She's gained in confidence, talks sense and I didn't notice any "Yahs"

I have to say that I didn't like Darcy last year but this year she is my favourite judge.

I agree that it is useful when she demonstrates what she is talking about. It helps the couples to see what she means.

Someone has clearly been showing her what to look for since she doesn't know much about ballroom/Latin, and she's passing it off as her own knowledge

LOL

Definitely the most helpfully critical judge.

Or she took the initiative and learned more about ballroom herself? I'd want to know what I was talking about if I was judging a dance that I never performed or instructed professionally. That said, a lot of her corrections in regard to arm movements, top line/carriage, neck placement, etc can be sourced from ballet.

The comments she is making, opening the chest, lengthening the neck, raising the eye line, extending through the limbs etc., apply to any dance and come to think of it good deportment in almost any activity. She knows her onions.
