I'll be seeing him and Dave on Monday and will tell them we need more views of the Hat. Maybe they should change the camera angle when the old dodderer thanks the band!
Ooooooh do u have something to do with the show? Do tell. Everyone on here prob knows u but I'm a bit behind the times ***sits in corner in old fogie mode waiting for gossip***

As I mentioned earlier, "Pork Pie Hats" like the one Trev wears, were very popular fifty years ago amongst jazz musicians. The bass player Charlie Mingus actually wrote a tune and titled it "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat," in 1959.

Maybe Trev is a frustrated jazz musician?

No but the Tommy Blaize Band which includes Trev and Dave are appearing at the 606 Club in Chelsea as they do every month, and I'll be there to see them as usual. They are also appearing at the Half Moon Pub in Putney on Sunday 3rd November.

Heck, I've never noticed a man in a hat. Must pay attention!

EDIT - Of course, he'll be in the bits I skip

I noticed Trev the hat last night, they showed a special clip of him sitting in the band.

I was there on Saturday night and during rehearsals Bruce mentioned that his doctors wife wanted to know where the man in the pork pie hat had gone!

I saw him walking around as well without his hat - he's very short and round!

Yes, he's usually seen when the camera is on that old codger, faffing about, wasting time, trying to get the put-upon audience to laugh at his unfunny jokes.
An alternative to fast-forwarding is just to mute the old fella's nonsense, it's not as if you'd miss anything of importance, is it?

Me too! It was the highlight of the show for me, which just goes to show how dull this series is! Maybe we could have him as one of the celebs next year?

It's a "pork-pie" hat, as I mentioned earlier, favoured by jazz musicians in the forties and fifties (when hats for men were the norm) and now by Trev.

Porkpie hat

Bryan Cranston's character Walter White wears a pork pie hat in the AMC series Breaking Bad when he appears as his alter ego "Heisenberg" whose persona is associated with the hat.

Yes, DR - I meant that if it were the right fabric it would be exactly like Heisenberg's hat. It was lovely for one suffering withdrawals to see that
