I hope Sophie has a more memorable Ballroom so her Samba is forgotten about (I'm not saying it was bad, just that it wasn't great)

I'd like her to do a quickstep or foxtrot.

Her Quickstep would be great, but I'd like it to be saved for later

I'm glad (if it is true). I think it will be good, but not a "wow" dance which should be saved for later in the competition

It would seem strange for Richard to tweet that if it wasn't her dance, so I've added it in to the list.

Viennese Waltz could be very, very good for Ashley.

Salsa for Ben? I was sure the Rumba would be a disaster, so he really might surprise us (again) with a light Salsa

Brendan always comes up with a nice foxtrot (a pity he wasted a particularly lovely routine on Blulu).

A test for Ben to see if he can really shed his inhibitions. I hope Karen choreographs a proper dance for Dave and doesn't just give up this week.

The VW is theoretically easy points for Ashley, though it may have been better draw-wise to have the reg-Waltz first since it's less showy.

I expect Ben's Salsa to be a bit better than his CCC, but not a lot; nonetheless, he's clearing out most of the theoretically rough dances for him, Latin wise!

Dave's Waltz will be a test of his popularity, since it's not typically a huge attention grabber, but I think it will hold up just enough... this time.

Sophie's Foxtrot will possibly get her back to the top of the board, but we'll see what others get first.

Edit to add: The dance mix is a bit random, but it's nice to at least see a Waltz past the intro week and it's also nice to not see Cha Cha saturation so far.

The foxtrot will be good for Sophie, as it will show us if she can dance well in hold, which is my one remaining worry. Her footwork seemed good in her waltz but she would awkward and floppy in Brendan's arms, so I'm hoping they've worked on that.

On the subject of Sophie's husband, he's pretty damn cute, no?

Would not be surprised if Natalie has another latin dance (like Ben). Otherwise most of the favourites would be dancing the same style each week (from now on).

Would not be surprised with a bottom two of Fiona and Julien (assuming Patrick has a fast latin dance, it should get him enough of a gap with Fiona on the leaderboard).

As for Sophie, bad news is that people will start about the topline again, but the good news is that it is out of the way early (she really has drawn the short stick of the draw). Most of the dances which should suit her (paso, tango, quickstep, jive) are still to come and brendan does a great as usually.

Hardest latin followed by hardest ballroom (well that's what they say). I guess it's good she's getting them done now. Like Sherlock said, I reckon her quickstep, tango, jive and paso will be good. I actually worry about the rumba!

Nothing new on Twitter this morning, but Deborah will be on 'Loose Women' later today so she might reveal her dance there.

Mark has said that he's moving onto ballet (lol) - wonder what he'll be needing that for please let it be a comical Rumba

Ben's shown he's got no problem shedding his inhibitions , it's just can he get the awkwardness and stiffness out of his limbs.

Lets hope Sophie wears a longer dress this time. Not that she hasn't got the legs or anything but yeah longer dresses are nicer for a ballroom dance.

Hi Sid

When I first saw Richard on the show on Sat I thought 'blimey, he's batting a long way out of his league' but then they were really cute together in the VT so I'm a convert

I reckon the waltz could actually finish Dave off - you know how it is, terrible celeb does awful dances, gains sympathy vote, then produces an OK-looking dance and all of a sudden loses that sympathy and ends up getting voted out.

Guess it depends whether Julien's got something horribly technical that will show him right up. Although after Ben's rumba - dance of the night for me this week - Mystic LL has hung up her crystal ball in terms of dance quality.

I have a feeling that I know why Ben's rumba was as sweet and surprising as it was.

As well as being one of the only celebs who came down from Tess's area looking confident (and not like he was about to throw up), he did spend nearly the whole of the VT watching his wife and daughters and seemed to be drawing on his family pride/love to get into it. Just as the screen went blank and the screen came to light he seemed to blow a kiss to his wife in the front row .... which I thought was very very sweet.

Mark my words.... Ben's JOURNEY starts here...

He was surprisingly in touch with his feminine side.... Made me appreciate Kristina as well as she was sweet and tender and the choreography reflected this, rather than desperate like she sometimes is.

Yeah, it was a surprisingly understated turn from Kristina - but then I think she's generally a little underrated as a choreographer because of the few horrors she's put together in her time (Argentine Strangulo, anyone?)

And awwwww to Ben. Perhaps he can find a way to harness that potential in other dances - if he can just find a way to tap into a similar vein for the Latin then perhaps the J-word is on

Yeah, short dresses for ballroom and long dresses for party dances.......sigh, wardrobe.

^ Updated with Deborah's dance - could go either way for her but she did well with the Quickstep and she seems decent at the Latin so I'm hopeful of a good routine.

EDIT: also updated with Rachel's dance. She was good in her Waltz but I think she might struggle with the Quickstep.
